10 years. One Founders family.

What began with GFS opening its doors in Al Barsha South in 2016 has grown into a family of schools, united by a shared commitment to excellence, innovation and opportunity.

From the opening of GFM in 2018 to the arrival of GFD and GFA 2024 and now our newest opening GFH just 5 days ago, each new chapter has carried the Founders ethos forward while building a community of thousands of students, educators and families across the UAE.

Today, we celebrate a decade of growth, learning and countless milestones — and as the Founders family continues to grow, so does our story.

Here’s to 10 years of excellence, and to the next chapter of the GEMS Founders journey.

1,550 new teachers. 10,000+ educators. 112 nationalities. One GEMS family. 🇦🇪

GEMS Awareness Day 2026 marked a significant moment for our global education community, bringing together our newest colleagues as they begin their journey with GEMS. It was a celebration of the scale, diversity and shared values that unite us and a meaningful welcome to the educators who will help shape the future of every child.

Ultimately, it is our people who make GEMS a family. Their passion, commitment and care are at the heart of everything we do. As we celebrate the Year of the Family, we are reminded that family comes first: supporting one another, celebrating our shared achievements and creating a community where everyone feels they belong.

A particularly powerful moment came when our Chairman and Founder, Sunny Varkey, called on GEMS teachers to stand and give a one-minute applause in recognition of the leadership of the UAE, a heartfelt expression of gratitude, respect and pride for the country we are privileged to call home.

Our strength is in our people, and in what we achieve when we come together as one GEMS family.

Family first. Shared values. One purpose. One GEMS. 🇦🇪👏
