Honouring a Coach Shaping Youth and Community

Congratulations to on earning his Associate Certified Coach (ACC) from the ICF.

Dr. Younis joined our Qada Executive Education ICF Level 1 program last year through our partnership with Sharjah Capability Development . Within a year, he completed all our ICF Level 1 program requirements, crossed 100+ coaching hours, and obtained his ACC.

Beyond certification, he continues to serve the UAE coaching and training community through volunteer initiatives and youth-focused coaching to help grow future leaders.

It was a pleasure working with you, Dr. Younis. Your commitment, energy, and generosity are inspiring.

Trust is Where it Begins

In his book The Five Dysfunctions of a Team, Patrick Lencioni reminds us that trust is the foundation of all high-performing teams. Without it, everything else falters.

I’ve come to realise that trust isn’t just a value it’s a daily practice. Today, I want to pause and recognise two individuals who embody that trust and leadership in action.

Abdullah Al Hasani who leads our operations, brings structure, discipline, and accountability to everything we do. He ensures that our work is delivered at the highest standard consistently, efficiently, and with care.

Jason Douglas who leads our strategic partnerships, is helping expand our reach across the Middle East and beyond. He is also at the forefront of our innovation efforts exploring how AI and technology can elevate leadership development and create real impact.

To Abdullah and Jason thank you.

Executive Milestones: Growth, Innovation, and Impact

Today’s Executive Committee meeting had a different kind of energy, our first with Jason Douglas officially on board, and already, ideas are moving faster, bolder, and more connected.

We paused to recognize the outstanding results we’ve achieved in the first half of the year, and now we’re gearing up for what’s often our most intense and high-impact season, the end of Q3 and Q4.

This isn’t just about planning, it’s about momentum.

Growing Together as a Community

Just completed Module 2 of our ICF-accredited program, The Art and Practice of Coaching. It’s always a pleasure partnering with and supporting a highly engaged, dedicated cohort from across Sharjah Government entities.

We practice coaching every single day and what truly brings the learning to life is the vulnerability of the participants, their willingness to bring real subjects, and their ability to observe and support each other with honest feedback.

The real secret ingredient? Our ICF-certified coach observers, who offer individual feedback in every session and help raise the standard of coaching practice.

A heartfelt thank you to each of you your presence and insights are invaluable to this journey. A Special thank you to Captain Alya Al Serkal for leading the program delivery and to our guest speaker for sharing his wonderful coaching journey.

Leadership Starts at Home

My wife and I are overjoyed and blessed to welcome our newborn son, Alexander Zain, into our family. Over the past few days, as I took time off work to be fully present with my wife and baby, I found myself reflecting deeply on what leadership truly means.

While much of my time is spent helping leaders grow and thrive, I’ve come to realize that my most important role as a leader begins at home. My greatest calling is to raise my children to become leaders of their own lives—leaders who inspire, grow, and make a positive impact.

Here are 10 lessons I hope to pass on to my children:
1. Lead yourself first: Understand your strengths and values, and live with purpose.
2. Embrace failure: It’s not the opposite of success but a stepping stone towards it.
3. Stay curious: Always seek to learn, grow, and ask questions.
4. Respect others: Every person has a story. Listen and empathize.
5. Balance is key: Strive to align your personal, professional, and emotional needs.
6. Seek feedback: Use it as a tool for growth, not as a source of defensiveness.
7. Communicate openly: Express yourself with clarity and kindness.
8. Stay adaptable: Life is full of change; resilience is built by embracing it.
9. Be of service: True leadership is about helping others succeed.
10. Celebrate progress: Focus on small wins and keep moving forward.

To everyone who has reached out with kind wishes and support over the past few days, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your warmth and encouragement mean the world to us during this special time.

A Remarkable Close to 2024 with Jumeirah’s Inspiring Leaders!

What an incredible way to approach the end of 2024! This past week has been one of the most inspiring experiences of the year, working with the exceptional leaders at Jumeirah as part of the Leader as Coach program.

The first two days, held in person at the iconic Burj Al Arab, were truly special—not just because of the stunning location but because of the outstanding culture of leadership and collaboration within Jumeirah. The remaining two days were virtual, bringing together leaders from the UAE, Oman, Spain, the Maldives, and Kuwait. It was remarkable to see how this luxury brand maintains such a strong and unified leadership culture across its global properties.

We at Hult Ashridge Executive Education always cherish our partnership with Jumeirah and this program was another testament to their commitment to leadership excellence.
