Today, our newly appointed Student Leaders came together for a dedicated Leadership Training Day, marking an exciting milestone in their journey as representatives of the GIS student community. Mrs Girven, GIS Principal/Executive Principal IB Schools, and Mrs Nahas, GIS Vice Principal, led the day alongside a host of senior staff members, delivering engaging sessions designed to equip students with the skills, confidence, and vision needed to make a meaningful impact across the school. From exploring what effective leadership looks like in practice to setting personal goals and understanding their responsibilities, students left the day feeling inspired, motivated, and ready to hit the ground running in their new roles.

This week we hosted a series of GIS Community Connect sessions for parents, facilitated by the school's leadership team, giving parents an opportunity to connect, ask questions, and share feedback about the school, programmes, and student support. Thank you to all who attended the events, helping us to deepen our collaboration in supporting your child's learning journey.

It was a pleasure to welcome leaders and aspiring leaders from schools across the UAE today as part of the NPQSL programme with Infinite Learning. Student-Led Conferences are a special time of the year when our students take centre stage, sharing their learning journey with our parent community. They demonstrate their understanding of content, their ability to apply skills in meaningful ways, and the growth of their conceptual understanding. At the heart of every conversation is thoughtful reflection, empowering students to recognise their achievements, identify next steps, and take ownership of their learning. We are incredibly proud of our students for the confidence, independence, and maturity they demonstrated today.

Last night, our GIS community came together to celebrate the outstanding young athletes at our Annual Secondary Sports Awards Evening. 🏆
Every award winner showed the commitment, character, and resilience that makes us so proud. Balancing academics with sport is no easy task and these students do it brilliantly.
A special mention to our Grade 12 athletes, who gave everything for GIS on and off the field. As you close this chapter, carry the lessons sport has given you- they'll take you far. 🎓

Last night, we came together as a community to celebrate the incredible young athletes of Greenfield International School at our Annual Primary Sports Awards Evening!
Spanning our entire sports programme, every award winner embodied the commitment, character, and courage that makes us so proud. Congratulations to each and every one of our champions, and to all GIS students who have represented the school across a variety of sports this year. 👏
A huge thank you to our guest speaker, former GIS student and accomplished motorsport athlete Gianluca Holder, for sharing his story with our young athletes. 🏎️ We also heard from our newly selected Head Boy, Elie Kordahi, who inspired us all with his journey of representing school in different sports.
