First Raining of the Season

A woman awakes during the night to find that her husband was not in bed.

She puts on her dressing gown and goes downstairs to look for him.

She finds him sitting at the kitchen table with a hot cup of coffee in front of him.

He appears to be in deep thought, just staring
at the wall.

She watches as he wipes a tear from his eye and takes a sip of his coffee...

"What's the matter, dear?", she whispers as she steps into the room.

The husband looks up from his coffee, "I am just remembering when we first met 20 years ago and started dating. Do you remember back then?", he says solemnly.

The wife is touched to tears thinking that her husband is so caring, so sensitive.

Yes, I do", she replies.

The husband pauses.

The words were not coming easily.

"Do you remember when your father caught us in my car?"

'Yes, I remember", says the wife, lowering herself into a chair beside him.

The husband continues.

Do you remember when he shoved the shotgun in my face and said,
"Either you marry my daughter, or I will send you to jail for 20 years?""

'I remember that also", she replies softly.

He wipes another tear from his cheek and says...
"I would have been released today if only I took the right decision!

پادری نے اعلان کیا کہ جس نے جنت خریدنی ہے وہ ہم سے رابطہ کرسکتا ہے اور جاہل لوگ جنت حاصل کرنے کےلیے بڑی سے بڑی رقم ادا کرنا شروع ہو گئے
ایسے میں ایک عقلمند شخص نے جہالت کا شکار ان لوگوں کو اس احمقانہ کام سے روکنے کے لیے ہر ممکن کوشش کی لیکن
سب بے سود۔۔

آخر ایک دن اس کے ذہن میں ایک ترکیب ائی۔
وہ گرجا گھر گیا اور جنت بیچنے کے انچارج پادری سے کہا:
مجھے جہنم خریدنا ہے۔ کیا قیمت ہے؟
پادری حیران ہوا اور کہنے لگا:
جہنم؟

اس شخص نے کہا: ہاں جہنم'
پادری خوش ہوا کہ اب جہنم بیچ کر بھی کمائی کر سکوں گا
لہذا سوچے بغیر کہا:

'3 سکے' 🪙🪙🪙

اس آدمی نے جلدی جلدی رقم ادا کی اور کہا:
'جہنم کی دستاویز دے دو'
پادری نے کاغذ کے ایک ٹکڑے پر لکھا:
"جہنم کی دستاویز" 📄
وہ شخص خوشی خوشی دستاویز اٹھا کر چرچ سے نکل آیا اور شہر کے مرکزی چوک پر کھڑا ہو کر چلایا:

" میں نے جہنم خرید لیا، یہ اس کی دستاویز ہیں اور میں کسی کو بھی اس میں داخل نہیں ہونے دوں گا لہذا تمہیں اب جنت خریدنے کی ضرورت نہیں کیونکہ میں کسی کو جہنم میں نہیں جانے دوں گا"

یہ شخص تھا "سقراط" جس نے اپنے اس اقدام سے لوگوں کو انکی لاعلمی کی وجہ سے کی جانے والی حماقت سے نجات دلائی۔

دنیا میں ایک ہی خوبی ہے 'آگاہی'
جبکہ جہالت اک گناہ !!
