Hili Child Care and Development is a home nursery environment with toys and tools needed for child development. Children receive quality education based on their developmental level and personalized education/development plans. Progress is tracked on a daily/weekly basis depending on the goals decided by the parents and provider. Philosophy: All children are highly capable beings
who need attention, nurturing, encouragement, limits, consistency and structure. Main Goals:
Language development, positive behavior, and social interaction
Schedule:
The day care has a routine that is conducive to child learning but that is not too structured to interfere with child creativity or positive behavior. Daily activities include: reading, music, art, play (where a significant amount of education occurs and facilitation of prosocial behavior i.e., sharing and problem solving), more structured learning (depending on the level and goals for the child), snacks, lunch, and nap time. Provider Qualifications:
The provider is an experienced marriage and family therapist with a bachelors and masters in psychology. In the past few years the provider has specialized in child therapy/counseling, which means the provider has years of experience helping children function better emotionally, academically and socially. The provider has worked with children of various ethnic groups and all ages. Expertise include behavior management and emotional self regulation. The provider is knowledgeable of common educational standards and developmental milestones for children. The provider has tutored and assisted in teaching students from elementary school through college. Lastly, the provider is a proud mother of a toddler.
