A key milestone for our accounting community at United Arab Emirates University🎉
On Thursday, 22 January 2026, the College of Business and Economics - UAEU, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the IMA | Institute of Management Accountants. Key areas of collaboration with IMA include:
🔹Co-organizing seminars, workshops, and conferences in accounting and finance
🔹Engaging experts and practitioners to enrich our academic and professional activities
🔹Promoting globally recognized certifications such as FMAA, CMA, and CSCA
🔹Supporting continuing professional education (CPE) for students and faculty
🔹Strengthening knowledge and resource sharing between UAEU and IMA
This partnership reflects our commitment to advancing accounting education, enhancing professional readiness, and deepening our engagement with leading global bodies.
We were also honored by the presence of: Dr. Yvonne Hinson, Ph.D., CPA (NC), Chief Executive Officer, American Accounting Association (AAA)
and Dr. Amal Said, Professor of Accounting and Provost Leadership Fellow, Northern Kentucky University (NKU), Haile College of Business, USA
After the ceremony, Dr. Yvonne and Dr. Amal met with the Accounting Department chair, Dr. Mayada Youssef, as well as a group of Accounting faculty. They discussed the facilities, resources, and opportunities provided by the American Accounting Association (AAA) to support teaching, research, and professional development.
