😱What if I don’t understand a word or question in the speaking exam?
My mini course (link in bio) helps you practise that and so much more! Check it out! ⬆️ or message COURSE and I’ll send you the link.
Let’s think about it... You often don’t understand something in your language, right? What do you do? Ask for clarification. It doesn’t mean you don’t speak your language, does it?😁
It’s perfectly fine to ask the examiner to explain and it will not lower your band score. In fact, it shows good communication skills!👏 So you could say something like - I’m not sure what ... means. Would you mind giving me a synonym?
Get my mini course (videos and ask me questions when you need to) - English Fluency Advanced: IELTS Speaking. Always have something to say! - I’ll take you step by step through this and give you so many other tips too.
Remember... you need to SPEAK to improve speaking ☺️ So shout it from the rooftops!!! Bye for now!

Talking about the future in English can be confusing, so many people just use 'will'. If you want to use future forms like a native speaker, then you need to understand that you choose the form depending on the MEANING IN THE SPEAKER'S HEAD. MMM yes, you need to be a mind reader - ish! 🤣
So we use 'be going to do' if we want to show that something has already been planned in our minds. I'm going to spend some money on a new jacket. I have already decided to do it.
As you listen to English, note all the other forms of the future that people use - there are many!

SO USEFUL for IELTS and University study.
The Academic Word List (AWL) was developed by Averil Coxhead at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand (2000). The words in this extensive list are to be found in College and University level texts in a wide range of fields. They are NOT subject specific. They are general and as such are very useful for ALL students no matter what subject of study.
