The “Al Wathba Photography Competition” Contest is back for a second round. The environment Agency- Abu Dhabi announces the launch of the “Al Wathba Photography Competition” contest starting from October 31th, 2015 till April 30th, 2016.

Snap an amazing photo and participate in the “Al Wathba Photography Competition” Contest. The reserve is open for the public on Thursdays and Saturdays from 8.00am to 2.00pm.

Prizes worth AED 20,000 in the forms of vouchers:

First place: voucher worth AED 6,000
Second place: voucher worth AED 5,000
Third place: voucher worth AED 4,000
Fourth place: voucher worth AED 3,000
Fifth place: voucher worth AED 2,000
A team of professional jury’s will evaluate the photos and choose the winning photos. The winners of the competition will be announced in a special event.

3rd place: Indian Islahi Islamic School, Abu Dhabi

Environment Week 2012 has now kicked off with its first stage event, the Intra School Debate for seniors. It was an enthralling show, and all the participating teams put up a great fight. Congratulations to all the winners! Ketki Kundawar, Reshma Mary and Madhurima Maity walked away with the first position. Well done!

Every little act can affect the planet, for the better or the worse, and today, we encourage you to watch what you buy for the sake of the planet. Always buy products which have a minimum amount of packaging, and carry around your own cloth bags when you go shopping. Where possible, buy local to minimize emissions caused by transporting goods around the world. Remember, think green, act green!
