Nercy Agohoy Serilo, MHCA, RN, RM, CPC, CIC, CCS, CDIP is a nurse-midwife by profession with more than a decade of experience in the healthcare industry. Throughout her career, she has worked in medical coding, Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI), coding education, and healthcare operations.
Currently, Serilo serves as a program manager at Shearwater Health Advisors http://Inc., Philippines where she oversees initiatives related to operations, quality improvement, and team development.
Her professional experience spans inpatient and outpatient medical coding, CDI, coding education, and operational leadership. For the past six years, she has served as a coding educator, developing and delivering training programs that help coders strengthen their knowledge and skills in an evolving healthcare environment.
A proud member of the AAPC Manila Local Chapter in the Philippines, Serilo values lifelong learning and professional development and remains actively engaged in the medical coding community. Serilo believes that medical coding is about more than assigning accurate codes. She views it as an opportunity to understand the patient's story, support the integrity of clinical documentation, and contribute to quality healthcare.
In her free time, Serilo enjoys spending quality time with her family. As a proud mother of three boys, much of her free time is devoted to participating in the activities they love and creating meaningful memories together.
