Ima was born in Taranto, Italy. As a child, she drew toys, dresses, and food she wished she would have had. Creative process gave Ima satisfaction.
Later, her drawings evolved into imaginary world she created for herself to escape from her traumatic childhood. Last night at Sofitel Abu Dhabi we enjoyed the cooking of the celebrity chef himself at this one-night only dinner. IMAjAZ Exhibited Crystal Legends Collection, 3 Artworks more than 120,000 Swarovski Elements left all the audience Speechless. Stay Art !

We spent an amazing day on the Set with
H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan at the shooting for the UAE National Day Official Video ! I was very honoured to had the opportunity to display on the set " Inception" Artwork from Crystal Arabia Collection. It’s been an amazing experience. I am really proud to be on this project, because National Day is a really important day for all Emiratis and for us too. As it will be on TV, a lot of people will see it and I can say I helped out for the project by adding a little bit of IMAjAZ sparkle on it.. Stay Art!

IMAjAZ in the exhibition “Woman and Art” from January 27 to February 28, 2014 at Sharjah Art Museum.
The Women & Art exhibition was launched in 2000 under the patronage of The Wife of the Ruler of Sharjah, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bin Mohammad al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, Chairperson of Sharjah Ladies Club. Her Highness realized that many gifted Arab and Western women possess special talents all over the globe, and therefore she wanted to provide them with the opportunity to share their expertise and knowledge with others in order to consolidate cultural communication and share their art outside the boundaries of their countries. The idea of bringing them all under one roof materialized.
The first edition of the exhibition drew local and international interest, given that the female-oriented exhibition is the first of its kind to be held in the Middle East. It provides accomplished female artists with a great platform to express their thoughts and culture. After witnessing a resounding success that exceeded expectations in the first edition, the exhibition became a biyearly event that is held by Sharjah Ladies Club. Each edition aims at presenting one global issue among women. Former themes revolved around the concepts of “Peace and War”, “International Vision”, and “Environment and Future”.
This time, Sharjah Ladies Club is organizing the 5th edition of the Women & Art exhibition under the patronage of the Wife of the Ruler of Sharjah, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohamed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, Chairperson of Sharjah Ladies Club.
This year, the exhibition will be themed around the concept of “Interpreting Peace” and will run from January 27th to February 28th, 2014, and through which 24 female prominent artists representing theirs own countries will exhibit artwork reflective of their own interpretation of peace from around the world under one roof. Ima was born in Taranto, Italy. As a child, she drew toys, dresses, and food she wished she would have had. Later, her drawings evolved into imaginary world she created for herself to escape from her traumatic childhood. She immersed herself into music, painting, and doll making to help not to think about her problems.
At the age of seven Ima relocated to Cesenatico. When she was thirteen she started attending workshops at artists’ studios and began to learn different techniques.
Creative process gave Ima satisfaction. She went on to study piano at conservatory and her music career took her as far as Japan. Ima’s artistic journey was enriched by extensive traveling and different cultures she experienced. During this time Ima experimented with her work until her distinguish style emerged.
Ima wanted to give her work an additional dimension and began experimenting with different materials. She developed a mix of non-conventional techniques, combined mosaics technique with Swarovski Crystals and set her painting objects against elaborate backgrounds. This gave her work a lot of depth and created a unique result.
Ima’s signature style is harmonized use of colors and imaginative decorated backgrounds.
The aim of the project is to create work that draws on and celebrates artists’ own vibrant heritage and rich culture. Swarovski Elements lent brilliance to the exclusive collection.
