I have a suggestion to make.
Why don't we inform the students who are in the reading competition about renlearn? I think it might be useful in case of any missing book word count. It can also help them with future use.

Tutor Training Assignment 2: Writing Tutoring - The RIGHT Way.

Check out this video. Please make at least 3 comments about key differences between the first video (Writing Tutor - The Wrong Way) and this video in terms of the session procedure, the tutor's attitude, and the tutee's affect (feeliing/emotion).

Writing Tutoring-The Right Way Here is a video for the writing tutors on how to approach your meetings with the students...and not have them run off crying.

Writing Tutoring-The Wrong Way 13/10/2011

Assignment for new tutors: Name at least three things that you think are wrong with this tutorial session. Thoughtful answers please.

Older tutors: It would be good to see this again and reflect on any past tutorial sessions. Provide an example and reflect on what you could have done to make it better. (You may send this in a private message or in the public forum - no names please)

Writing Tutoring-The Wrong Way This example is how NOT to tutor your tutee in the Writing Center, so take notes!
