نتشرف بانضمام الدكتور / علي حسين الحوري لجلسات المؤتمر الدولي السادس اللسانيات التطبيقية وتعليم اللغات (مسار اللغة العربية).
الدكتور علي الحوري هو أستاذ اللغة الإنجليزية المشارك نشر ما يقارب خمسين بحثا في مجلات علمية مصنفة وستة كتب، وحصل على عدة جوائز. وقد انتُخب في عضوية مجلس إدارة الجمعية السعودية للغويات بجامعة الملك سعود وكذلك عضوية مجلس إدارة الجمعية السعودية لتعليم اللغة الإنجليزية بجامعة الملك عبد العزيز. كما أدرج اسمه ضمن قائمة أعلى ٢% من علماء العالم بحسب التصنيف المعروف بتصنيف جامعة ستانفورد.
يقدم الدكتور الحوري ورشة عمل تفاعلية حول النشر العلمي، تساعد ورشة العمل على فهم عملية النشر بشكل أفضل، وتناقش آلية عمل المجلات والدوريات ومعاملات تأثيرها، والمجلات المفترسة.

We are proud to have Dr. Paul Piwek as one of the keynote speakers for ALLT 2024. Dr. Paul is a scholarly expert, researcher, and writer about Artificial Intelligence (AI). He will contribute to ALLT 2024 through two interactive sessions: The first is on "Generative AI: What is it and what is it good for?" where he will explore questions such as: How do Generative AI systems work? What are they good at? and What do they struggle with? The second session will focus on "Supporting students through digital argument making through practical activities and case studies.

ALLT Applied Linguistics & Language Teaching

We are thrilled that Dr. Thomas Christiansen is part of ALLT 2024. Dr. Christiansen has taught at various higher education institutions in Apulia (Italy), Poland, and the UK. He is also a language teaching and testing consultant. He has published books and numerous articles on discourse and cohesion, systemic linguistics and functional grammar, varieties of English, ELF, teaching English, language testing, and the analysis of different corpora, including spoken discourse.
Dr. Christiansen is going to interact with the audience through two titles:
1) Learning Scenarios to promote communicative language learning with digital tools and A.I.
2) Speaking Naturally in the Classroom: communicative exercises to enhance and assess students’ competence in spoken discourse.
