Presented by one of the world’s leading academic publishers, this global recognition honours a select group of editors for their exceptional editorial leadership, dedication to journal excellence, and contributions to advancing the research community.

This achievement reflects Prof. Shaljan’s scholarly leadership and commitment to academic excellence, while further strengthening ECAE’s presence within the global research landscape.

Emirates College for Advanced Education (ECAE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Special Olympics UAE, reinforcing the College’s commitment to advancing inclusive education and creating greater opportunities for People of Determination to learn, participate, and thrive.

This strategic partnership reflects ECAE’s vision of fostering more inclusive learning environments and strengthening collaboration across education, sports, health, and community engagement, helping expand the impact of inclusive practices within schools and across society.

تَرأَّستُ اليوم اجتماع مجلس أمناء كلية الإمارات للتطوير التربوي، حيث استعرضنا مواصلة تقدّم الكلية في مجالات النمو الأكاديمي، وتطوير الكفاءات الوطنية التربوية، والحوكمة، والتحول المؤسسي.

وشهد الاجتماع استعراض النمو المتسارع الذي تحققه الكلية، بما في ذلك ارتفاع أعداد الطلبة بنسبة 316% خلال الأعوام الأكاديمية الأربعة الماضية، بما يعكس النمو المتزايد في الطلب الوطني على إعداد المعلمين وتأهيلهم وفق متطلبات المستقبل ومسارات التطور المهني الحديثة.

كما ناقشنا عدداً من المبادرات الاستراتيجية الداعمة للإطار الوطني للكفاءات التربوية، وبرامج إعداد القيادات التربوية، والتعلم المهني المدعوم بالذكاء الاصطناعي، إلى جانب جهود الكلية المستمرة في تعزيز الجاهزية المؤسسية ودعم تطوير المنظومة التعليمية في دولة الإمارات.

Today I chaired the Board of Trustees meeting for Emirates College for Advanced Education, where we reviewed the institution’s continued progress across academic growth, national educator capability development, governance, and organizational transformation.

The meeting highlighted ECAE’s accelerated growth, including a 316% increase in student enrollment over the past four academic years, reflecting growing national demand for future-ready educator preparation and professional learning pathways.

We also reviewed key initiatives advancing the National Educators Competency Framework, educational leadership development, AI-enabled professional learning, and ECAE’s ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional effectiveness and future readiness in support of the UAE’s evolving education ecosystem.
