🔥 **Fire Safety and Occupational Health & Safety Awareness** 🔥
As we move through our daily routines, it’s essential to prioritize safety in every aspect of our lives—both at home and in the workplace. Fire safety and occupational health and safety management are key components in preventing accidents and ensuring a safe environment for everyone.
Here are a few important reminders to keep in mind:
1. **Fire Safety:**
- Ensure that smoke detectors are installed and working properly.
- Have a fire escape plan in place and practice it regularly.
- Keep flammable materials away from heat sources.
- Make sure to have fire extinguishers accessible and that everyone knows how to use them.
2. **Occupational Health & Safety:**
- Always use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for your job.
- Report unsafe conditions or practices immediately.
- Know your emergency protocols and procedures.
- Encourage open communication about safety concerns among coworkers.
Let’s work together to create a culture of safety that protects ourselves and those around us. Remember, awareness leads to prevention! 💪🏼

Enhancing Firefighter Safety by “Reading the Fire” at Operational Incidents.
Every firefighter, regardless of role or experience level, needs to be able to accurately assess fire behaviour at incidents to ensure their own safety and the safety of their colleagues.
Our alliance of fire experts has developed a comprehensive 2-hour eLearning course, 'Reading the Fire,' that equips firefighters with the critical skills to understand fire dynamics, including the impact of wind on high-rise incidents.
We believe "Reading the Fire" would be a valuable addition to the training programs of all firefighters. As part of our commitment to educating the world, we are offering the course completely FREE of charge and have produced a Spanish version including subtitles.
Here is the link to access the course.

You can download the workbook on the site and complete all units including the end of course test to confirm your understanding.
"Reading the Fire" was developed in collaboration with renowned fire behaviour expert Shan Raffel, Dean Hawkins and Myself. We would welcome the opportunity to discuss with Fire Services on how we can embed this course onto their existing training platforms to enable all their firefighters to have unlimited access.
