Applications to be a member of the NYUAD iGEM 2020 Team are now open on a rolling basis!
NYUAD iGEM is an undergraduate research project conducted as part of an annual world-wide synthetic biology competition held in Massachusetts, USA. Student teams use standardized genetic parts to address real-world problems in fields ranging from health, medicine, manufacturing, and bioenergy to even art and architecture. Students also take their work beyond the lab, engaging with clinicians, regulators, policy experts and the general public to maximize their project’s potential real-world impact and realize a market ready product.
iGEM at NYUAD is an interdisciplinary project and is comprised of members of varying majors. Students studying towards CS, Engineering, Biology, IM, Physics, Chemistry, Film, Economics, Political Science... etc degrees have all been part of the team - all interested are encouraged to apply. Details about roles in the iGEM NYUAD 2020 team are available in the application form.
