ADEK Cup Chess Competition 2026 – Celebrating Our Champions!

We are proud to announce the outstanding achievements of our students in the ADEK Cup Chess Competition, conducted online. Competing against talented players from across the UAE, our students demonstrated exceptional focus, analytical thinking, and resilience.
3rd Place Winners:
• U11 Girls: Fathima Yara (Grade 5H)
• U13 Boys: Rishi Raghavendran (Grade 7D)
• U15 Girls: Nish*ta Karthick (Grade 9J)
Their remarkable accomplishment reflects countless hours of practice, determination, and a passion for the game. Chess is more than a competition; it is a powerful platform for developing critical thinking, patience, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
This achievement also highlights our Gemstone Value – Peridot: In chess, service is reflected through respectful conduct, encouraging fellow players, sharing knowledge and strategies, and demonstrating good sportsmanship regardless of the outcome. Our students exemplified these qualities throughout the competition, inspiring their peers and representing the school with pride and integrity.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Fathima Yara, Rishi Raghavendran, and Nish*ta Karthick for their success. Their achievements are a source of inspiration for the entire school community, and we wish them continued excellence in all their future endeavors.

Our Kindergarten students proudly celebrated Community Helpers Day, linked to our Gemstone of the Month – Peridot (Service). Dressed as their favorite community helpers, children participated in a Show and Tell activity, sharing how these everyday heroes support and serve our communities.
Through thoughtful discussions and the creation of Thank You Cards, students developed an appreciation for the value of service, learning the importance of generosity, gratitude, and putting the needs of others first.
The celebration also reflected the HPL VAA – Concerned for Society, encouraging children to recognize the contributions they can make to their communities, demonstrate responsible citizenship, appreciate diversity, and develop a strong sense of community spirit.

Voices that Serve, Melodies that Inspire: GEMS UIS Interhouse Solo Singing Competition
The Interhouse Solo Singing Competition for Grades 3, 4, and 5 at GEMS United Indian School was a delightful celebration of music, talent, and confidence.
Students from all four houses mesmerized the audience with melodious performances that showcased their vocal abilities and stage presence.
Inspired by the Gemstone of the Month - Peridot, symbolizing “Leading with Service,” participants performed songs on friendship, healing the world, kindness, and motivation. Their performances conveyed meaningful messages of empathy, unity, and positive change.
The event also reflected High Performance Learning (HPL) values, as students demonstrated ACP - Practice and Precision in their performances and VAA - Confidence and Empathy in their expression and connection with the audience.
The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation, with Saturn House securing the lead, followed by Neptune House, Mars House, and Jupiter House.
The event was a wonderful showcase of how music can inspire, serve, and bring people together.

DECLAMATION COMPETITION 2026–27: ECHOES OF ELOQUENCE

“Words have the power to inspire minds, awaken hearts, and ignite change.”
The Inter-House Declamation Competition, Echoes of Eloquence, was conducted by the Department of English for students of Grades 9 to 12 at GEMS UIS, providing a remarkable platform for young speakers to showcase their oratory excellence through powerful renditions of renowned speeches. The esteemed judges, Mrs. Indravati Pandey and Ms. Reeba Oommen, evaluated the contestants on voice modulation, poise, gesture, enunciation, confidence, and overall impact.
The event reflected the essence of the Gemstone of the Month—Aquamarine, symbolizing clarity and adaptability and catered to HPL attributes such as Creating–Originality and Precision. Through their confident delivery and meaningful expression, participants displayed clarity of thought, poise, and demonstrated the remarkable power of words to inspire minds, influence perspectives, and create lasting impact in a constantly evolving world.
First Place was secured by Parineetha Raj of 9 G (MARS House), Second Place was awarded to Sejal Patil of 9 F (SATURN House) and Third Place went to Barira Majaz Mulla of 9 H (NEPTUNE House).
Heartfelt appreciation goes to the Department of English for their dedication and meticulous organization in nurturing articulate and confident communicators through this inspiring competition.

GEMS UIS Kindergarten students enthusiastically celebrated World Environment Day 2026 through engaging activities that promoted environmental awareness and responsibility.
Following the World Environment Day theme, "Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future," our KG1 students came dressed in green and participated in a Paper Bag Craft Activity, learning the importance of reducing plastic use and choosing reusable, recyclable alternatives. KG2 students celebrated World Cultural Day and World Environment Day through the theme "One World, One Earth, Our Shared Future," creating Best Out of Waste Shoe Box Organizers and sharing their Environment Promises.
The celebration reflected the HPL VAA – Concerned for Society, as students demonstrated an understanding of responsible citizenship, environmental stewardship, and respect for diverse cultures. The activities also embodied the June Gemstone, Peridot, with a focus on the value of Service, encouraging generosity, care for the planet, and prioritizing the needs of others through simple yet meaningful acts of service.

GEMS UIS Kindergarten celebrated Eid Al Adha with joyful and meaningful activities that filled our classrooms with creativity, laughter, and the beautiful spirit of giving. Our little learners proudly created colorful Eid cards, enjoyed fun sheep craft activities, and shared thoughtful ideas about celebrating Eid with their families and friends. They also listened to stories that helped them understand the importance and traditions of Eid Al Adha.
Connecting with our May GEMSTONE, Aquamarine, children explored the value of Adaptability by embracing new experiences with confidence, flexibility, and enthusiasm. Through our HPL VAA focus on Collaboration, they practiced working together, sharing ideas, listening to one another, and celebrating each other’s contributions.

Sustainability Business Pitch 2026: Future Leaders, Future Solutions

“Innovation is the bridge between imagination and sustainability — where young minds create solutions for a better tomorrow.”

GEMS United Indian School hosted the Sustainability Business Pitch Competition 2026 on 18 May, providing students from Grades 6–12 with a dynamic platform to present innovative, research driven solutions to real world environmental challenges. Across the Junior and Senior categories, teams showcased prototypes, models, and business concepts focused on clean energy, smart technology, eco friendly materials, waste reduction, and sustainable living. Many projects incorporated AI, automation, renewable energy, and biodegradable innovations, aligning with the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 vision.
The event highlighted students’ ability to blend scientific understanding, entrepreneurial thinking, and social responsibility, reflecting the school’s commitment to nurturing environmentally conscious global citizens. Strongly aligned with SDG 12 and SDG 13, the competition also showcased key HPL attributes such as Creating–Originality, Meta Thinking, and Agile Thinking, along with VAAs like Empathy and Agility. In harmony with the Gemstone of the Month—Aquamarine, students demonstrated adaptability, clarity, and resilience as they refined and presented their ideas.
The event stood as a testament to UIS’s dedication to fostering innovation, critical thinking, and environmental stewardship, with students embodying the ACPs of Meta Thinking, Analyzing, and Linking, and the SDP 3 focus on environmental awareness and responsible action.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to the Supervisors, Head of Department, teachers of the Science Department, and the dedicated student volunteers whose efforts ensured the smooth and successful ex*****on of this impactful event.

GEMS UIS Kindergarten celebrated the International Day of Families with joyful activities that filled our classrooms with love, laughter, and meaningful conversations. Our little learners proudly created their own family photo frames and shared heartwarming stories about their families and why they are so special.
Connecting with our May GEMSTONE, Aquamarine, children explored the value of Adaptability — learning to embrace change with resilience and flexibility while feeling safe and supported by the people around them. Through our HPL VAA focus on Empathy, they practiced listening, caring, and appreciating the uniqueness of every family.
Most importantly, our children were reminded that school is our big family too — a place where everyone belongs, grows together, and shines brightly.
