Monologues- In theatre, a monologue is a speech presented by a single character, most often to express their thoughts aloud, though sometimes also to directly address another character or the audience. Not an easy task to perform solo! Our seniors are working extremely hard towards our showcase!

Interested in your child taking Musical Theatre or Acting Graded Examinations? We are now offering classes that work towards the graded Trinity College London Certificates. These will be on Mondays 6-7pm from the 3rd of October. Message to reserve your child spot now!

My name is Sophie Helena Biervert- a passionate actress and teacher, Theatre trained at NYUAD. I have experience in the realm of acting and theatre theory for 7 years. I began my acting studies at school, receiving top grades in the GCSE and A-level examinations, along with a distinction in Trinity Drama. In university, I further developed my studies at a higher level by working with renowned actors, directors, playwrights, dramaturge’s and performance specialists from across the world. My first year in university marked my participation in a movie created by Abhishek Majumdar, a playwright, theatre director, and scenographer. I have developed a more holistic and thorough understanding of acting and theatre theory, by being a part of a rigorous, global and acclaimed university of where I have achieved a GPA of 4.0. I have a deep enthusiasm for sharing knowledge with a talented youth and for building connections with students; to not only inspire them, but to get them to find their true potential and achieve their goals – whatever they may be.

Introducing Trinity London Drama Examinations to The British Acting Studio- Reasons we love Trinity London
- Examinations are available for all ages, stipulations on being able to recite and rehearse a monologue.
- UCAS points can be gained for grades 6-8.
- The rehearsals and examinations build on the employability and learning skills:- communisation and interpersonal abilities, building creativity, learning to work under pressure, gaining the ability to be organised and methodical, developing the ability to analyse material and enhance your critical thinking skills, developing teamwork skills and excelling their individual confidence.
We will be starting classes for Trinity Drama Examinations Preparation in October on Tuesday’s for ages 5-18.
The student must be able to read or starting to develop the skill in order to learn the monologues in rehearsals.
