LEARNER PROFESSIONAL HUNTER/GUIDE (LPH) COURSE

🎯 START YOUR CAREER IN ZIMBABWE'S SAFARI INDUSTRY

The Learner Professional Hunter/Guide (LPH) course is a professional wildlife and safari training programme designed for individuals who aspire to become qualified professional safari guides and hunters and build careers within Zimbabwe's tourism, wildlife and safari industry.

The programme combines theory, practical knowledge, field-based learning and examination preparation, giving students a strong foundation for working with private safari operators, guiding companies, conservation organisations and tourism establishments.

The course prepares students for the official examinations conducted by the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (ZimParks).

📚 COURSE DURATION

Duration: 10 Months

The programme provides students with sufficient time to develop knowledge across the major areas required for professional guiding and hunting.

📝 ZIMPARKS EXAMINATION PREPARATION

Zimbabwe Wildlife College places strong emphasis on examination preparation.

The ultimate objective is to equip students with the knowledge and confidence required to sit for the ZimParks LPH examinations.

💵 COURSE FEES

Registration: USD $10

Tuition: USD $50 per month

ZimParks Examination Fee: USD $250

The examination fee is paid directly to Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority.

🩹 IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT – FIRST AID

All students intending to sit for the final examinations are required to obtain a Basic First Aid Certificate before writing the final examinations.

First aid knowledge is also an important professional skill for anyone working in remote safari and wilderness environments.

🎓 WHO CAN ENROL?

The course is suitable for individuals who want to develop a career in:

Students may enrol with or without O' Level qualifications, subject to the applicable course and examination requirements.
