Cricket is an evolving sport. It may not be as rapid as the demise of the Dinosaurs yet nonetheless changes happen. We have seen, in my lifetime, uncovered wickets and protected wickets, the Gillette Cup which morphed into one day cricket. Modern players are more athletic and fitter. I honestly feel that the legendary Colin Milburn would never have been selected in this era! We had the advent of bigger heavier bats. The One-Day'er was refined then came the white ball. Off field umpires and TV reviews. Ball tracking et al. T20 and floodlit games, white ball, pink ball and green, orange and yellow Bowling Machine balls. A crazy publicity seeking, attempted introduction of an aluminum bat which blasphemed against our pure religion of willow striking cork encased leather! Huge amounts spent on grass roots and ladies cricket, 100 year old pavilions replaced by characterless modern designs created by soulless architects., disabled, blind, table cricket. Franchises and the good and bad of that. Now the ECB's latest 100 ball match aimed at the spectating, gambling masses. Those masses raised on a quick fix before the 10 minute concentration level has maxed out. A step further and the incredible amounts gambled, usually illegally and now more gasoline is thrown onto the conflagration resulting in the explosive T10 format. There is an awful lot more to add and to refine this. If I had the energy of 15 to 20 years ago before heavy metal toxicity affected my cognition I would have taken great pleasure in researching and writing an article based upon changes, good or bad. Now I leave it in the safe hands of sports writers such as Tristan Lavalette. I am sure that a superb article could be created from this short foray into the involvement of the sport of the gods from the time of the Napoleonic wars to the coming dawn of 2019.

Biography of Saymore Chinembiri.
Saymore Chinembiri is an artist and an author based in Harare Zimbabwe. Before he became an author Saymore Chinembiri founded a gospel musical group titled Synergy band. The Synergy is best known is best known for their break-out hit single titled when you call and their commitment to share social responsibility through the health song intended to raise awareness of neglected health issues in Africa. As of now Saymore Chinembiri is working as an administrator of an online media company called TV yangu and on part-time bases he teaches musical instruments namely keyboard, acoustic guitar and bass guitar.

On the 4th of May 2018 Saymore Chinembiri launched his ground-breaking book titled the Twenty20 mindset. The name Twenty20 is coined from the gentlemen’s game of cricket. The feedback he has received so far from those who have read the book reveals an impartation of hope, encouragement, love and inspiration to the people who have adopted the Twenty20 mindset. Besides the inspiration he’s been able to provide through this book, the book Twenty20 mindset is also building an interest of the game of cricket to people which is something deeply embedded in the heart of those who love the game of cricket.

One of his strong beliefs is to create synergies with different stakeholders across the globe in order to achieve a greater good.
His short term plans or rather for 2019 is to hold Twenty20 events of the book which will feature musical performances of songs that carry the Twenty20 theme (Making the highest possible contribution in lowest possible time) as well as teachings from the book.
