25/05/2026
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Today, 25th May 2026, marks Africa Day. At Cedar Academy, we will commemorate this special occasion on Friday the 29th of May 2026 with our learners and staff under the theme: Inclusive Education and Diversity.
Africa is more than a continent of vast landscapes and natural resources. It is a continent rich in culture, heritage, values, and people. Our strength lies in our diversity; our different languages, traditions, abilities, perspectives, and experiences. These differences do not divide us; they enrich us and make our communities stronger.
One of Africa's greatest values is Ubuntu; the belief that "I am because we are." This philosophy teaches us to respect one another, care for one another, and recognize the dignity and worth of every individual. It is through this spirit that we embrace inclusive education, ensuring that every child feels valued, respected, and empowered to learn and succeed.
At Cedar Academy, we believe that quality education should be accessible to all learners, regardless of their background, abilities, or circumstances. We are committed to creating a learning environment where diversity is celebrated, talents are nurtured, and every child has an equal opportunity to reach their full potential.
As we celebrate Africa Day, let us recommit ourselves to the values that have sustained our continent for generations: respect, unity, responsibility, compassion, and community. Let us teach our children to appreciate differences, embrace inclusion, and take pride in their African identity while developing the confidence and skills needed to thrive in an interconnected world.
Together, we can build a future where every child belongs, every voice matters, and every learner is given the opportunity to shine.
Happy Africa Day.
"One Africa. Many Cultures. Equal Opportunities for Every Child."
Yours sincerely,
Cedar Academy Administration
