We were honored to attend the Hope-Fay Public Lecture on Women in Mining, a powerful celebration of the incredible women who are breaking barriers and shaping the future of the mining industry. The event was a dynamic blend of inspiring keynote addresses, thought-provoking discussions, and uplifting success stories, all highlighting the invaluable contributions of women in mining. We were inspired by the trailblazing women who shared their journeys, challenges, and triumphs, and we're committed to supporting their continued growth and success. On the 6th of March Gender Issues ZW was honoured to be invited as speakers at the Girls’ Pyjama Night Prayer Meeting held at the United Apostolic Faith Church in Belvedere. It was a beautiful and powerful moment to connect with young girls in a safe spiritual space, sharing knowledge, faith, and encouragement.
During the session, we presented the topic “Soft Life vs God’s Life: Contentment in a Social Media World.” Together with the girls, we reflected on how social media often creates pressure to chase a “soft life,” while God calls us to live a life of purpose, contentment, and spiritual growth.
As we celebrate International Women’s Day, this moment reminded us that empowering young women starts with sharing knowledge, guidance, and truth. When we invest in girls today, we shape stronger, wiser women for tomorrow.
Quote of the day
"When we give young women wisdom, knowledge, and faith, we gain a generation of confident women who know their worth and their purpose."
At Gender Issues ZW, we embrace the spirit of Give to Gain by giving knowledge, mentorship, and awareness, young women gain confidence, direction, and the strength to live purposefully in a changing world. On 7 December 2025, Gender Issues Zw had the honour of engaging with the United Apostolic Faith Church Mufakose in an awareness session on Technology Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV).

We discussed the critical role the church plays in promoting safety, compassion and accountability both online and offline. Together, we explored how faith communities can help prevent digital forms of abuse, support survivors, and use technology responsibly to uplift and protect one another.

A heartfelt thank you to the UAFC leadership and members for the warm welcome and for joining us in this important conversation.
Uniting to end digital gender-based violence starts with informed, empowered communities.

Gender Issues Zw had the privilege of participating in the national stakeholders meeting on Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV) Conducted by Family Support Trust. This crucial gathering brings together key partners to discuss practical strategies for preventing and responding to TFGBV, as well as addressing gaps in existing legal frameworks. As technology advances, so do the risks of violence and exploitation. This meeting is a vital step towards creating safer digital spaces and protecting survivors' rights. Let's work together to and ensure a safer future for all. "
