What a day to remember!
Our Rowan Learners’ Bonding trip was filled with laughter, play, and beautiful moments of connection. The children had an amazing time exploring, bonding with friends, and simply being kids.
We are so proud of how confidently they embraced the day.
Memories were made and smiles were everywhere!

This week we celebrate a very special learner who is our youngest and has truly impressed us all!
From the very first day, she settled in beautifully, showed excellent behaviour, and continues to adapt wonderfully to the day-care routine.
We are so proud of the calmness and positive attitude shown each day.
👏🏾👏🏾 clap, clap, hooray!
At Rowan Preschool, we believe that some of the most meaningful learning happens through hands-on, real-life experiences.
We are excited to introduce our tyre garden. While the garden may look simple, it is rich in learning opportunities and plays an important role in the development of the little ones.
What children learn through the Tyre Garden:
• Responsibility and care
Children learn to water plants, observe growth, and understand that living things need care and patience.
• Early science and discovery
Through planting and observation, children learn about soil, water, sunlight, insects, and how plants grow — building early science concepts naturally.
• Fine and gross motor development
Scooping soil, pouring water, planting seeds, and harvesting leaves strengthen hand muscles and coordination, which support writing readiness.
• Language and communication skills
Children talk about what they see, learn new words (plant names, colours, actions), and ask questions — building vocabulary and confidence.
• Numeracy skills
Counting seeds, comparing plant sizes, and understanding “more/less” are introduced in a meaningful, practical way.
• Environmental awareness and sustainability
By reusing tyres as garden beds, children learn the importance of recycling, caring for the environment, and respecting nature.
• Healthy eating awareness
When children grow herbs or vegetables themselves, they become more curious and open to healthy foods — a skill for life.
Our tyre garden reflects our Rowan values of growth, resilience, and nurturing young minds and hearts.

Little hands, big healthy habits!
Our Rowan learners are practising proper tooth brushing, because strong smiles start early.
A huge thank you to our parents for reinforcing these habits at home. Together, we are growing confident, healthy children 🪥🦷
