Today, Sunday, at 6:00 p.m., our robotics team departed for Switzerland to represent both Zimbabwe and Oriel Boys High School on the international stage.

We wish Devine Mhizha and Tafara Wayne Zvandaziva a safe journey, great success in their presentations, and an unforgettable experience. As you compete, remember that you are carrying not only your own dreams but also the pride of our school and our nation.

🥋 DASSAF Update

Our martial arts team made Oriel Boys High School proud at the DASSAF competitions hosted at Lewisam Primary School.

Competing in Ninjutsu and other martial arts disciplines, our athletes delivered outstanding performances, showcasing discipline, skill and determination.

⚽🏆 U17 DISTRICT CHAMPIONS! 🏆

What a week for Oriel Boys High School!

After a highly competitive district tournament hosted right here at Oriel Boys High, our soccer team has emerged as District Champions! 💙🤍
The journey to the final was anything but easy. Battling through the group stages and semi-finals against the best schools in the district, the team showed determination, discipline and resilience to secure a place in the final.

A special mention goes to Tafara zvandaziva, who was outstanding throughout the early stages of the tournament, scoring three crucial goals across three different matches to help propel Oriel into the final.

The championship match was a tense affair, ending 0–0 after regular play. The title was decided on penalties, where our goalkeeper, Joshua Bonde delivered a legendary performance by saving three consecutive penalties, securing a famous victory for Oriel Boys High!

🥇 Final Result: Oriel Boys High 0–0 (Won 3-0 on Penalties)

Congratulations to the entire squad ,the coaching staff and everyone who supported the team. Your hard work and school spirit have brought home the district title!

Students who excelled in their end of month tests were awarded their merit badges and treated to a merit lunch a well deserved recognition of their hard work and dedication.

DEBATE — District Tournament

What a brilliant display of intellect and eloquence from our Oriel Boys debate teams! Both the Senior and Junior debate teams represented the school at the District Tournament and produced outstanding performances that made the entire school community proud.

Our Senior team, comprising Simbarashe T Hunda, Divine Mhizha and Munashe Mususa, went head to head against the best debaters in the district and delivered a composed, knowledgeable, and commanding performance worthy of true gentlemen.

Our Junior team, made up of Sean Matienga, Alfred Bhero, Nkululeko Rusike, and Tawona Nzenze, equally rose to the occasion and showed maturity and brilliance beyond their years.

The result? Both teams have qualified for Provincials!🏆🎉

This is a tremendous achievement and a true reflection of the depth of talent and intellectual strength within Oriel. The boys were simply brilliant, and we look forward to seeing them carry the Oriel flag with pride at the provincial stage.

INTERACT CLUB — Rotary Meeting

Our Interact Club had the honour of being invited to a Rotary meeting, representing Oriel Boys High School with distinction. It was a wonderful platform that gave our young leaders the opportunity to engage with the Rotary community in a meaningful and impactful way.

During the meeting, our interactors took centre stage as they shared openly about their journey discussing the challenges they have faced, reflecting on past projects they have executed, and casting a vision for future initiatives they hope to bring to life. It was a proud moment to see our boys articulate their experiences with confidence and maturity.

The session was not only a chance to share but also an opportunity to learn, network, and draw inspiration from the Rotary community an organisation built on service above self, values that align closely with the spirit of our Interact Club.

Our interactors carried themselves with grace and represented Oriel Boys High School in a manner that was truly commendable. Well done to every member who took part you are making a difference.
