Looking at the word "firm" Paul, is advising you not to yield to the pressures of the world.You are to have unwavering or unshakable attitude anchored on your belief that Jesus defeated the devil because he resurrected from the dead and through faith in Him you will have an everlasting life. As a person of faith, that works, do not allow adverse circumstances to distract, deter, or discourage you from accomplishing God's purpose in your life. You must be characterised by steadfast faith that can stand the challenging storms of life. Strong partnering with Christ and standing firm with Him, your works have eternal significance. Amen, L.T. LESSON 46/24 STAGE 2 OF DISCIPLE MAKING
"And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men”.

At stage 1," Come and See," you saw Jesus letting his disciples get to know him better before calling them for commitment. Jesus, at this level, exposes his followers to diverse scenarios. Disciple making is a process and not an event. At the come and follow me stage, Jesus invites those who have been in a relationship with him at the come and see stage and have been watching him to now come and follow him. He is asking them to make a decision. In Matt 4:19 a disciple is someone who is following Jesus hence( follow me) being changed by Jesus ( and I will make you) and committed to the Mission of Jesus ( fishers of men) . At this stage, the disciples are exposed to a deeper understanding of Jesus' teachings. They are in a relationship with Jesus and with each other. At this stage they are 70 to 120 people involved . Are you following Jesus? Is Jesus transforming your life, and are you committed to His Mission ? Amen. L. T. Zungunde and family.

LESSON 44/24 CARRYING YOUR CROSS " And whoever does not carry his cross and come after me can not be my disciple."
Luke 14:27
Carrying your own cross is putting your full trust in God amid the storms and challenges of life, knowing that God is with you always like Christ had confidence in His Father when he carried His Cross. Those who trust God and carry their cross shall experience victory like the victory experienced by our Lord Jesus Christ over pain and death on the Cross.Carrying your Cross means taking part in Christ's suffering for the Church, you are sharing Christ's redemption of the world, your suffering or carrying your cross is not worthiless you are using it to minister to the sinful world and win souls to Christ.Let God fulfil his desires through you dying to self, laying aside your personal goals and ambitions and desires and submitting to the will of Jesus in all your ways. All the above requires faith that works. Amen

Matthew says
" Anyone who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and anyone who loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
Matthew 10:37 This is a call for true discipleship to consider Christ first in all that you do. This is a call for commitment and obedience. The order in your life should be Christ first, others second and self last. Unfortunately, what is happening is self first, others second, and Christ last. A true disciple considers Christ first in all that he/she does, and everything else will fall into place. Amen

LESSON 42/24 STAND OUT FROM AMONG THE CROWDS "And great crowds were going along with him. And he turned around and said to them, " Luke 14:25
The fame of our Lord Jesus Christ had spread and was spreading about the people he had healed and fed. Hence, crowds of people with diverse interests and agendas followed him. Our Lord Jesus Christ is bold and blunt enough and explains to them in verses 26-27 who a true disciple is.Jesus is not worried about numbers but is concerned about who true disciples are. True disciples are intimate with Jesus, and they love God with all their hearts,souls, and minds.( Matt 22:37-38). A true disciple stands out from among the crowds of people who just follow Jesus.
Today, it is a tragedy that people want to be amongst the crowds but don't want to be disciples of Christ.Move out of the crowds and give yourself to be a disciple of Jesus. Amen, L.T.Zungunde and family

LESSON 18/24 THE POWER OF PRAYER "So Peter was kept in prison, but prayer to God for him was made without ceasing by the church."
Acts 12:5
Prayer is your bazooka and your AK 47 to destroy the strongholds of the devil. Herod's intentions to kill Peter were disabled by prayer.The angel of God released Peter from jail before he was killed by Herod.
