Part 1: After a fantastic day on the course, our golfers and guests gathered upstairs for the prize-giving and cocktail reception, generously sponsored by First Capital Bank. Fine and Country added to the occasion by sponsoring the balcony area and treating guests to a selection of cheese board platters.

Chairman of the Board, Mr Kevin Terry, shared the vision for St George’s College and Hartmann House, highlighting the schools’ commitment to Jesuit formation. He also celebrated the achievements of current St George’s golfing star and Hartmann House alumnus Munesu Chimhini, who had recently made history at the 2026 First Capital Bank Zimbabwe Junior Open by becoming the first Zimbabwean to win the title.

Our Entrepreneurship Society recently hosted a seminar at the College on entrepreneurship, leadership, innovation, and building businesses that create meaningful impact across Africa. The event brought together students from various schools and featured Dr Ethel Mupambwa, Founder and CEO of MoneyMart Finance, as the guest speaker.
Drawing from her personal journey, Dr Mupambwa shared valuable insights on confidence, resilience, discipline, and thinking beyond limitations. One of her key messages was that your background does not determine your future; rather, the decisions you make today shape the future you create for yourself.
Students were encouraged to embrace challenges, pursue opportunities with courage, and remain committed to their goals. Through practical advice and real-life examples, Dr Mupambwa highlighted the importance of perseverance, hard work, and a willingness to learn and adapt.
Our sincere thanks go to Dr Mupambwa for taking the time to share her knowledge, experiences, and encouragement with all those in attendance. Her inspiring story challenged and motivated aspiring our young entrepreneurs, leaving them with valuable lessons and a renewed sense of purpose as they pursue their own journeys in leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
