"You think this is 400 years old? I have shocking news for you. We must understand the exercises of Loyola if we want to understand the Jesuits" - Walter Veith

Part of understanding the Reformation is understanding its enemy, the Counter-Reformation (also known as: the Jesuits). If the Reformation was founded by Martin Luther, the Counter-Reformation was founded by Ignatius Loyola. This was a clash between truth and error and would not be reconciled. Many will state that the lines between Protestantism and the Catholic Church have disappeared, a closer look shows the war wages on.

The picture shown here proves this point to be true. This graven image is Ignatius Loyola stomping Martin Luther into the ground, representing the Jesuits desire to crush the Reformation and its teachings. This statue sits today at Jesuits headquarters in Rome.

Do we still have reason to protest?

"God does not send messengers to flatter the sinner. He delivers no message of peace to lull the unsanctified into fatal security. He lays heavy burdens upon the conscience of the wrongdoer, and pierces the soul with arrows of conviction. The ministering angels present to him the fearful judgments of God to deepen the sense of need, and prompt the cry, “What must I do to be saved?” Then the hand that has humbled in the dust, lifts up the penitent. The voice that has rebuked sin, and put to shame pride and ambition, inquires with tenderest sympathy, “What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee?” - Desire of Ages pg 104

A Kiss For Peace: Pope and Grand Imam Sign Historic Declaration For Fraternity in UAE 06/02/2019

"Romanism is now regarded by Protestants with far greater favor than in former years. In those countries where Catholicism is not in the ascendency, and the papists are taking a conciliatory course in order to gain influence, there is an increasing indifference concerning the doctrines that separate the reformed churches from the papal hierarchy; the opinion is gaining ground, that, after all, we do not differ so widely upon vital points as has been supposed, and that a little concession on our part will bring us into a better understanding with Rome. The time was when Protestants placed a high value upon the liberty of conscience which has been so dearly purchased. They taught their children to abhor popery, and held that to seek harmony with Rome would be disloyalty to God. But how widely different are the sentiments now expressed." Great Controversy pg 563

“The Protestant churches are in great darkness, or they would discern the signs of the times. The Roman Church is far-reaching in her plans and modes of operation. She is employing every device to extend her influence and increase her power in preparation for a fierce and determined conflict to regain control of the world, to re-establish persecution, and to undo all that Protestantism has done. Catholicism is gaining ground upon every side. …These things should awaken the anxiety of all who prize the pure principles of the gospel. Protestants have tampered with and patronized popery; they have made compromises and concessions which papists themselves are surprised to see and fail to understand. Men are closing their eyes to the real character of Romanism and the dangers to be apprehended from her supremacy. The people need to be aroused to resist the advances of this most dangerous foe to civil and religious liberty.” Great Controversy, Pg. 566.

Baptists Meet again with Pope to Promote Christian Unity.

I guess I missed this in the news from two weeks ago. Evidently, Francis is still moving forward with his agenda.
(And Happy New Year! We are one year closer to Jesus return.)

(I don't think the Southern Baptists supported this meeting.)

"Pope to visit United Arab Emirates in first-ever trip of a pontiff to the Arabian Peninsula"
In case you have ever wondered how was the Catholic Church going to gain influence over the Muslim world, (think crusades), this may help answer that question. Francis needs to write a book on how to make friends and influence people. This is incredible. Keep in mind, the Arabian Peninsula is the birthplace of Islam. (You might want to pass this one around to help people wake up).

Here’s the article…
VATICAN CITY (AP) — Pope Francis plans to visit the United Arab Emirates in February to push for Christian-Muslim dialogue and peace in the first-ever papal visit to the Arabian Peninsula.
The Feb. 3-5 trip to Abu Dhabi centers around an interfaith meeting, the Vatican said Thursday. Francis will also have the chance to meet with political leaders as well as the UAE's Catholic community, which is made up almost exclusively of foreign workers.
It's the latest trip to be announced in what is shaping up to be one of Francis' busiest years for foreign travel, with trips to Central America, North Africa and now the Gulf confirmed, and ones to Asia and East Africa under consideration.

For Those Who Doubt....
We went to visit Toledo Spain yesterday and all over the city under the churches you can tour the dungeons , for a small price, where the Catholic church tortured Christians and Jews during the Spanish inquisition. It's hard to even look at some of the sadistic instruments and methods they devised to extract misery. Believers had to have a very real conviction back then to suffer and die for their faith. - Doug Batchelor

Would you have stood under such torture, or renounce your faith at the look of these instruments

Why do Catholics hold a strong majority on the Supreme Court? 08/10/2018

This is to fundamentally shift the policies of the nation, to become more pro-Catholicism

Why do Catholics hold a strong majority on the Supreme Court? There's only ever been one Catholic president and Catholics are a declining portion of the US population, but they're holding a strong majority on the US Supreme Court.

"Pope Francis declined to confirm or deny the claims"

Here Are the Catholic Church Politics Behind That Letter Calling on Pope Francis to Resign "People are especially upset with the fact that Francis is opening the church on sexuality and homosexuality," says one longtime Vatican watcher
