a Businessman .It took a period of about five years before this Trust was eventually enforced into an Act in the year 2015. Through his various experiences and interactions in various disciplines ranging from Academic, Socio-cultural, Religion and Politics, he discovered that economic failure and poverty in Africa was being caused, aggravated and insinuated by a dependence syndrome. He discovered that Invention was key to a sustainable future and that this Invention ability should only come from the indigenous people if it were to become meaningful in the context of the African situation. It is to protect the African people’s dreams, ideas, hopes, to teach invention ethics and principles and obviously to bring about a new form of an Education System. Africa Institute of Inventions is a product of discipline, endurance and love. It is an Institution of the people, to be moulded and defined by the people and is meant to enhance the people’s dreams. If this concept is to fail, then the argument shouldn’t be about the vision but of the ignorance by the people. As an organisation we are looking at the poverty in Africa, the economic failures and limitations and also on the potential that the African economies have if they are to be given the rightful motivation and platform to determine their future. We have seen many people dying in Africa without medication, people running away from their families just because of poverty, we have seen the rapid deterioration of our economies, we have seen the hunger, starvation and the lacking is so undesirable. We believe that the coming in of this People’s Institution shall bring birth to a new form of freedom in our Nations, a freedom that will bring birth to a new technology that is yet to come into existence. We believe that with the right mind and a willing heart we will conquer all limitations as a people. OBJECTIVES
*The aim of this Trust or initiative is to encourage invention amongst the Zimbabwean communities and as well as African communities.
*To develop marginalised communities and create economic activity in those areas.
*This institution is a Trust that will be funding individual talents specifically whose with invention skills.
*To redefine technology and to bring development through home grown technological solutions.
*To create a totally new trend of technology than the one that is existing and is dominating this era.
*To decentralise the concept of invention from Higher learning Institutions which requires only educational qualifications as a basis for enrolment .With this institution, invention will be treated as a natural ability that only requires one to have natural traits or gift of invention even from childhood stage.
*This institution is not trying to push a racistic agenda but to help the most vulnerable class of people by giving them the opportunity to change their own circumstances though what they can naturally do .The aim is therefore to challenge and to discourage invention domination by the developed countries and wealthy organisations.
*To introduce the concept of equality through cooperate strategy and participation in invention programmes.
*To encourage and develop creativity amongst the African people and to give them the power to use their natural resources by stimulating high demand for locally produced products.
*We believe that the current education system in place has failed to address issues of creating employment and to deal with cases of extreme poverty hence we therefore need to run a parallel education system or to even to replace such a system in due course.
*This institution will also be established in some other countries that are overseas and it will accommodate various people of different races and of different ethnic back grounds in order to support those who are poor and are marginalised.
*We believe that unavailable resources can be created through promoting invention. Our mandate is also to bring innovation that will bring about new resources that will help the people.
*To identify persons who are capable and willing to become inventors (both young and old, from primary education level to secondary education level both male and female.)
*To introduce a new form of education system that is based upon people’s talents and abilities in line with the technological needs of their communities.
*To overcome limitations being caused by the current education systems.
*To provide and promote indigenous technological solutions for Africa.
*To overcome a dependency syndrome from the Western, European and Asian markets.
*To simplify invention though offering coaching lessons.
*To secure inventions for individuals and or cooperates through intellectual property rights.
*To source out loans and funds to assist inventors.
*To educate and teach individuals and cooperates to develop and to secure their products through patents.
*To secure individuals’ ideas from theft and manipulations –From private companies, politicians and foreigners.
*To promote the marginalised and underprivileged to participate in global technological trends.
*To work cooperatively with institutions, schools and communities on issues that needs technological solutions.
*To help improve and to increase production quality there-by reducing imports.
*To help Africans and indigenous people to compete with the developed world.
*To represent individuals and cooperates in the courts of justice (through our lawyers) in cases of invasion of an individual’s patent, product or ideas.
*To encourage cooperate participation or problem tackling of complex issues that will be hindering communities from progressing.
*To decentralise control of natural resources by the Government, individuals and private companies to the advantage of the people or communities.
*To develop income generating projects meant to fund projects being developed by individuals or cooperatives.
*To bring equality amongst different communities, equality in terms of development and access to basic human requirements.
*To introduce Invention Competitions across the board and recruit those with invention skills, that is in schools, colleges, villages and different communities.
*Facilitate employee-employer contract deals(what does an employee need to do if he or she comes up with an invention whilst being bound by an employment contract), manufacturing deals, patent licensing deals and many other deals .
*To create the Great Book of African Inventors that shall contain names of inventors and their inventions specified in this book. THE PLAN
The reason for this trust is to create an environment for inventions to take place, more so to develop inventors and to create projects that are meant to revive communities economically. It is against this background that our indigenous people having been limited by many various obstacles, now require a platform for them to begin to believe that they have the power to invent. A general assessment of the technological advancement that is taking place around the world clearly shows that in the near future only those nations who are investing in Inventions, production and technology will sustain their economies. This point to the fact that poor nations if they will not rise now, will obviously suffer and become more poorer. What the poor nations need to do is to develop a parallel education system that develops inventors and as well create inventors. This current formal education system that we have is leading nations into a state of stagnation since it can only help people to become literate but not Innovators. Africa Institute of Inventions is a Trust created specifically for this purpose of bringing the people together, bring them to this awareness that invention is the way forward towards defeating the economic failures of today and tomorrow. Our plan is to source funds through this Trust, establish an institution that will train, equip, develop and guide inventors. Our first approach is to bring awareness to the people through various means which involves:
*Visiting various Schools (both private and public schools in urban and rural areas) and engage them to help us identify students that have invention attributes and talents.
*Engaging different colleges and liaise with them on how they might assist us and how we might also assist them.
*Engage private companies and religious organisations to participate in this initiative.
*Holding of Out-reach programmes, Individuals both in Rural and Urban areas who have invention abilities and who have already invented something in any field. Our second approach involves recruiting Invention Trainers ,Innovative people, Motivators to work for this institution
Our main focus would be to attract influential people all over the world in the field of Invention and Science so that they come under one roof and help formulate a new Education Curriculum based on talents and natural abilities .
*Those who will manage to come up with inventions shall be awarded Honours Degrees of first class and those whose contributions in an invention and whose level of creativity is considered outstanding shall be awarded Degrees of Second Class. The more an individual manage to come up with new inventions the more their academic profiles are upgraded. This is an Achievement Based Education System that will solve community’s limitations through home grown solutions.
*This Trust will ensure that every individual’s invention will be Patented and that also their Ideas will be also be protected.
