*Advancing Innovation: Minister Commends Gweru Polytechnic’s Education 5.0 Strides*On Thursday, 5 March 2026, Gweru Polytechnic hosted the Honourable Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development, Ambassador Dr. Frederick Shava. During this landmark visit, the Minister commended the Polytechnic for coming up with life changing innovations and encouraged it to transform into a hub of industrial production The Minister took a tour of the campus, where he witnessed firsthand how the college is moving beyond traditional classroom learning to embrace the Education 5.0 mantra: a philosophy centered on Teaching, Research, Community Service, Innovation, and Industrialization.

The Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education has announced the release of the Higher Education Examinations Council (HEXCO) November/December 2025 national examination results.

Permanent Secretary Professor Fanuel Tagwira confirmed the release in a statement, noting a 70 percent pass rate.

Candidates are advised to collect their results from their respective regions starting
Friday, January 23, 2026.
