Rydings College Annual Day and Night 10s Rugby Festival

Rydings College proudly hosted its Annual Day and Night 10s Rugby Festival in term 2. The two-day event brought together 15 schools from across Zimbabwe for a memorable celebration of rugby, sportsmanship, and friendship.

We are truly grateful to the cast and the Humanities and Languages Department for hosting such an exciting and thought-provoking school play, The Lion and the Jewel.

The talented cast showcased incredible acting prowess, leaving the audience begging for more. The core theme, modernity vs. tradition, was brilliantly brought to life through sharp dialogue, dynamic performances, and captivating stage presence.

We had a wonderful combined Send-Off Service and Academic Recognition Assembly! 🎓

Pastor Shambare delivered a powerful sermon, leading heartfelt prayers for all our students and a special dedicatory prayer for our upcoming examination candidates as they prepare for this important milestone.

Dr. T. J. Kondo emphasized the vital importance of academic excellence, setting an inspiring tone for the school. Additionally, our Deputy Heads, Mr. Gwanzura (Prep School) and Mrs. Marecha (Senior School), presented special academic awards, celebrating students who have consistently excelled since Term 1, as well as those who showed remarkable improvement across various subjects.

🏅💚💛 Congratulations, Salma Muza! 💛💚
We are incredibly proud of Salma Muza for winning 1st place in both the Clubs and Ribbon routines at the Gymnastics Zimbabwe National Championships held in Harare on 1 August 2026, making her the Level 3 Under-12 National Champion.
Despite sustaining a knee injury just two days before the competition, Salma showed remarkable courage and determination to perform brilliantly and claim the title.
This marks her third consecutive national championship, having won:

🏆 Level 2 (2025)
🏆 Level 3 (2026)
A heartfelt thank you to her coach, the Rydings Prep School Sports Department, and her family for their unwavering support.

Snow White and the Magic Gogo Boots: A Showstopper on Stage

The school production of Snow White and the Magic Gogo Boots was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment the curtain rose until the final bow, the audience was swept into a world of laughter, wonder, and heartfelt storytelling. It was an evening that showcased not only exceptional talent but also the creativity, dedication, and teamwork of our entire school community.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our entire cast, with special recognition to Tiara Stephano, our Director, whose vision and dedication brought this production to life. We also sincerely thank every member of staff whose hard work and commitment made the play possible, as well as all the parents and guests who graced the occasion with their presence and support.
