For many children at WCS, the lunch we provide is their best or only meal of the day.

Pictured is Chipango Prince and his mother. He is in the 4th grade and is 13 years old. Many of the children at WCS did not start school on time or had a deficient early education. He lives with his mother and four siblings about 1/2 mile from school, in Twapia Overspill (a nearby slum). The single mother hardly meets the essential basic needs. The family often has to skip meals. His lunch at WCS is an important part of his diet. He is thankful to Wisdom Christian School for the continued provision of free education.

Our longest serving teacher at WCS is Sonile Lapukeni. Sonile started at the school in 2013 as a primary school teacher. All of the Mission Zambia teams can testify to her pleasant demeanor - always ready to help. She translates faithfully for the teams as they conduct Camp Wisdom for the kids. We love her - she demonstrates kindness and faithfulness to the school and to the Lord. She still teaches 3rd grade as well as serving as Head Teacher (similar to principal in U.S. schools). She is a key to the success of WISDOM Christian School!

Janet Nambaya brings practical skills to the students in Home Economics classes. She is also the sponsor for a club called “SKILLS." In this club they teach students how practically survive their daily lives even when they are not in school. "I am passionate about children and I make most of my time with them at Church and in my neighborhood teaching them the ways of Christ." How fortunate we are to have such a teacher!
