A special return to A Future 4 Kids. ❤️

Merryl Blair returned to the school, visiting the Blair Wing, named in honour of her and her late husband, Graeme.

She shared heartfelt words of encouragement with the children, reminding them to believe in themselves and their future.

As we remembered Graeme and the journey he and Merryl shared with A Future 4 Kids, it was a meaningful reminder that his legacy continues to live on through the children and the work being done here.

We had the pleasure of sitting down with David, Chairperson of A Future 4 Kids, and his wife Jane for a special interview during their first visit to Zambia. ❤️

We spoke about their journey with AF4K, what brought them to the project, the impact of the school and the Life Skills Centre, and what it means to see the difference this work is making in the lives of the children.

It was a touching conversation as they talked about their journey, the children and the people who have helped make AF4K what it is today.

It was a beautiful opportunity to hear their story, their hopes for the future and why supporting these children means so much to them.

It was lovely having Merryl and Jan in Zambia. Thank you for helping with setting up the kids corner in the library and for purchasing the library supplies. Thank you for the home visits, the children really appreciated your visit. It was a short but very fulfilling and impactful time. A Visit That Carries a Legacy ❤️

We were honoured to welcome Merryl and Jan from Melbourne to A Future 4 Kids.

Merryl holds a very special place in the story of AF4K. She and her late husband, Graeme Blair, were involved in the early beginnings of the project and played an important role in supporting the school and the children.

After Graeme passed away, the four classroom Blair Wing was completed and dedicated in his honour. It stands as a lasting reminder of the love, generosity and belief he and Merryl had in the AF4K vision.

What makes Merryl’s continued support even more meaningful is that, despite losing her husband, she never gave up on the school. She continued advocating for AF4K, encouraging donations and helping keep the vision they believed in alive.

During their stay, Merryl and Jan also met with our recent graduates, Abigail and Jennifer who graduated from Northrise University. They also spent time with the secondary school children, hearing about their experiences, hopes and dreams for the future. It was a special opportunity for her to see the continued impact of the AF4K vision and the difference it is making in the lives of our children. ❤️

Merryls return to the school is a beautiful reminder that some people become more than supporters. They become part of the AF4K family and its history.
