Mwansa boarded a bus to Kitwe and politely asked the conductor, “Ba conductor, please remind me when we reach Kapiri Mposhi.”

The ride was lively—music, chatter, and shouting vendors. In all the noise, the conductor completely forgot his promise.

Hours later, as they rolled into Ndola, Mwansa casually asked, “Natufika pa Kapiri?” The conductor froze—yayi!—he’d forgotten! The whole bus turned on him, scolding and laughing.

One outspoken woman declared, “Awe, let’s turn this whole bus around so the boy can get off at Kapiri!”

The driver and conductor begged, “We can just put him on another bus to Kapiri!” But the passengers shouted in unison, “No, we want to SEE him disembark!”

So, they U-turned all the way back to Kapiri.

When they finally arrived, the conductor proudly said, “Natufika, Mwansa.”

To everyone’s shock, Mwansa calmly opened his bag instead of stepping out and said,
“Bachinjeba ati, ngawafika pa Kapiri, uliye RICE.” 🍚😂
