ECZ Nullifies Grade 9 External Results, Candidates to Restart at Form 1

All Grade 9 external candidates whose results have been nullified will have to return to Form 1 under the new curriculum.

Examination Council of Zambia (ECZ) Public Relations Manager, Nicolas Nkhuwa, has confirmed this development.

Mr. Nkhuwa explained that this year’s Grade 9 examinations were the last ones, as the new curriculum does not provide for them. He further stated that the ECZ is investigating the nullified results, which were canceled due to malpractice.

Meanwhile, Teaching Council of Zambia Registrar, Ebby Mubanga, emphasized that any teacher found guilty of malpractice will have their license revoked.

On Thursday , the ECZ announced the nullification of results for about 1,800 Grade 9 external candidates, while five examination centres were suspended.
