The Founder of this great initiative was born Today. On this day Mr Nsokolo has announced a donation of over 1,000 exercise books which through this platform will be donated to the vulnerable children we serve.
Help us show him some love😊

It’s a Sal’s Shoes setting off to get back into school Saturday.
Your Sal’s school Shoes are setting off for Zambia to find their new feet in schools in the district of Mbala in Zambia 🇿🇲 with Get Mbala Reading - working to raise literacy levels within the community in Mbala.
Mbala District is Zambia’s most northerly large town. It is a rural area and most people are farmers or work in tourism. In schools, there are few resources including books. As a result, the District has very low literacy levels with over 70% of children leaving primary school without the expected level of literacy to prepare them for secondary school 📚
I am thrilled to share a trailer for our upcoming documentary produced by local film makers regarding literacy levels in Mbala District.

HAPPY NEW YEAR #2021
Thank you to all our supporters. 2020 was such a hard year for all of us but thank you for your continued support we are able to release our mini documentary in January 2021, to assess the postive impact that our work at Get Mbala Reading Zambia 🇿🇲 has made to the local community in Mbala District over the past 4-5 years, in particular to needy and vulnerable children.
I really enjoyed making this documentary with local film makers, everyone worked so hard to create a very special programme.
Special thanks to our friends at@Radio Luswepo, Book Aid International , Sal's Shoes , KitAid Charity Computers4Africa and the DEBS Mbala who have all helped us on this journey.
