Catholic Priest Urges Peace During Vote Counting

A Catholic Priest in Mansa District of Luapula Province is calling on citizens to prioritize peace, national unity, and sober reflection as the election period enters the vote-counting phase.

Father ANDREW MUKOSA says emotions can run high during the counting process but stressed that differences in political opinion or party affiliation should never undermine the country's shared commitment to peace.

He reminded Zambians of their heritage as a peaceful nation since independence in 1964, urging all citizens to stand together during this pivotal moment.

Fr MUKOSA has since urged citizens and political players to maintain a calm and solemn demeanor especially now.

He emphasized that elections are not merely about casting ballots but about shaping the nation's future vision.
