📢 IMPORTANT NOTICE TO PARENTS OF GRADE 9 LEARNERS – 2025

1. The 2025 academic year will be the last time Grade 9 Leaving Examinations are administered. This is in line with the implementation of the revised education curriculum.

2. Learners who do not pass the 2025 Grade 9 Examinations will have two options:

- Restart Form 1 in 2026 under the new curriculum,

- Or wait until they turn 16 years old to write the GCE (General Certificate of Education) Examination.

3. From 2026 onwards, there will be no Grade 9 (Junior Secondary) Examinations. Learners starting Form 1 in 2026 will only write a National Examination in Form 4.

We therefore urge all parents to:

- Encourage your children to study consistently,

- Monitor their progress closely, and

- Support them in preparing thoroughly for this final Grade 9 examination.
