Gift Michael Khondowe to Serve as UNZAMESA President for Second Term
The University of Zambia Mathematics Economics and Statistics Association (UNZAMESA) has announced that Gift Michael Khondowe will serve as President for a second term. This decision was made by the board of the association, citing Khondowe's exceptional leadership and dedication to the organization.
A third-year student pursuing Economics with Mathematics, Khondowe has a proven track record of leadership. In his secondary school days, he held various positions including President of the Mathematics club, Senior Prefect, and Librarian.
During his first term as President of UNZAMESA, Khondowe oversaw significant growth and development within the association. Under his leadership, the association organized training sessions for its members in statistical software such as STATA and SPSS, enhancing their analytical skills and knowledge.
His vision and leadership skills have been instrumental in shaping the organization into what it is today. As Khondowe begins his second term, he is expected to continue driving growth and innovation within UNZAMESA. The association's board and members have expressed their confidence in his ability to lead the organization to even greater heights.

1. Pharmacology
By 2022, the projected growth within the field is 25% and the unemployment rate is a mere 3%. Regarding salaries, the median is $105,000 but varies depending on location and education level.
2. Computer Science
By 2022, the growth is expected to be 18% with a median earning of $60,000, which increases with experience, education and is also dependent on the size of the employer.
3. Health Science
By 2026, the field is expected to grow by 20% and salary increases heavily with more education. For example, those with a master’s degree can expect to earn at least $90,000 per year.

The IT field is also adding jobs more rapidly than other fields, with an expected 12% growth through 2026.

the BLS projects that the field of Engineering will experience roughly 130,000 new jobs added through 2026.
