A huge congratulations to Pace Nallawar who has achieved an outstanding 92% in the internationally recognised **ÖSD Z-A1 German language examination!

🇿🇲🇨🇭🇩🇪 BUILDING INTERNATIONAL CONNECTIONS | DIE DEUTSCHE SCHULE LUSAKA

Die Deutsche Schule Lusaka was honoured to engage with Mrs Angelika Huwiler Andersen, Consul of Switzerland in Zambia, during a recent meeting with our Head of School, Mr Klaus Trifellner.

The meeting provided an opportunity to introduce the work of DDS Lusaka and reflect on our mission of advancing German language education, international exchange and opportunities for young people in Zambia.

As an ÖSD-certified examination centre, DDS Lusaka provides structured German language education from A1 to B2, with internationally recognised ÖSD examinations conducted directly at our Lusaka centre.

Beyond the classroom, our vision is to help students discover pathways into German-speaking countries through opportunities including FSJ (Freiwilliges Soziales Jahr), BFD (Bundesfreiwilligendienst), apprenticeships (Ausbildung) and other educational and professional programmes.

We are grateful for the opportunity to connect with Mrs Huwiler Andersen and look forward to nurturing relationships that promote language, education, cultural exchange and international cooperation.

🇿🇲✈️🇩🇪 FROM DDS LUSAKA TO GERMANY — MALILWE HABAMBA!

Another airport farewell. Another DDS student taking her German language skills beyond the classroom and into a new chapter in Germany. ❤️🇩🇪

We are incredibly proud of MALILWE HABAMBA, a former student of Die Deutsche Schule Lusaka, who recently said goodbye to Zambia 🇿🇲 and departed for Betzendorf, Germany 🇩🇪, where an exciting new opportunity awaits her.

And what makes Malilwe’s journey particularly inspiring?

👉 She opened this door with just A2 German!

Malilwe studied German at DDS Lusaka and successfully obtained her internationally recognised ÖSD A2 German language certificate at ÖSD Prüfungszentrum Lusaka. 🎓🇩🇪

Her journey is another reminder that learning German is about much more than learning another language.

German can open doors.

Depending on the pathway and its requirements, German language skills can help young people work towards:
