CHRESO UNIVERSITY SIGNS MoU WITH ZRDC TO STRENGTHEN RESEARCH AND INNOVATION - 25th March, 2026.🤝

Chreso University is proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Zambia Research and Development Centre - ZRDC, marking a major milestone in our journey toward strengthening research, innovation, and academic excellence.

This strategic partnership reflects our unwavering commitment to enhancing our research muscle as an institution while contributing meaningfully to national development through education, innovation, and knowledge creation.

Speaking during the signing, our Vice Chancellor, Professor Mony Narayani, reaffirmed that this collaboration aligns with Chreso University’s vision of achieving greater academic impact. She highlighted platforms such as our International Multi-Disciplinary Conference (IMDC) as key drivers in fostering research and knowledge sharing.

The partnership will unlock opportunities for:

✅ Strengthened academic networks locally and internationally

We also acknowledge remarks by ZRDC representative, Dr. Kelvin Chibomba, who emphasized the importance of collaboration in advancing research not only in Zambia, but across the region and beyond.

In their second and final week, Chreso University’s Public Health students at in Kafulafuta of Mpongwe District intensified their community engagement as they concluded their rural field experience.

Over the past days, the team was actively involved in health promotion and education, translating theory into practical action while responding to real community health needs.
They also interacted with traditional healers to try and understand how they can be integrated in the modern health system.
As they wrapped up, the focus remained on making a lasting impact and strengthening community awareness.

This final phase reflected the University’s commitment to producing competent, community-oriented public health professionals ready to serve and lead where it matters most.

In this active Youth Month and Youth Week, Chreso University proudly match-past its two groups of Public Health students from the Copperbelt Campus, Faculty of Health Sciences into communities for their rural experience in health promotion and health education.

Thanks to University management and program faculty Dean and Head of Department, the group is currently in Lumpuma Village in Lufwanyama District, taking their learning beyond the classroom and directly into the communities they will one day serve.

For the next two weeks, the students will be actively engaged in community-based health promotion activities as part of their syllabus and curriculum.
This field attachment ensures that our future public health professionals are not only grounded in theory, but are also equipped with practical, hands-on experience in health education and community engagement.

This approach reflects Chreso University’s commitment to meeting the educational needs of today, training professionals who understand real community health challenges, and are prepared to make a meaningful impact through practical public health solutions.

Today marked an exciting new beginning at Chreso University as we officially welcomed our new local and international students during orientation! 🎓✨

The session was graced by our Senior Corporate Affairs Officer, Ms. Hannah Kanini, alongside the Dean of Students, Mr. Mwakawele, the Deputy Registrar, Mr. Hamasama, and the Bursar, Mr. Chimuka. Each shared valuable insights and guidance to help our students settle in and thrive both academically and socially.

From important academic information to student support services and campus life, our new students are now one step closer to an enriching university experience.
