*2300 EVENINGS AND MORNINGS, NOT DAYS, OF DANIEL 8:14 IS LITERAL NOT SYMBOLIC*

The figure 2300 is neither days nor years.

It is literally 1150 days or 3.2 years.

Here is how the above figure is so:

# the Hebrew words used in Dan.8:14 are erev boquor that translatively mean 2300 evenings and mornings. [ 'Days' is not translative but interpretive. Apparently, some Bible translators chip in an interpretation rather than translation arising from doctrinal bias/affiliation.]

Maintaining the appropriate translation which is 2300 evenings and mornings raises the following points:

# the Continual or Daily sacrifice was a literal offering that was presented to God on daily basis by the nation of Israel. Its inception and subsequent observance is recorded in Ex.29:38-42; Num.28:3-4,23; Dan.9:21.
# arising from the fact that the phrase does not read as '2300 evenings and 2300 mornings' BUT '2300 evenings and mornings',( note that the designations of 'evenings' as well as 'mornings' are in particular respect to what was done at those times, which is, as highlighted in the verses, offering of one(1) lamb at each of those times. In this regard, 2300 is the total number of Continual or Daily sacrifices that would not be offered before the Sanctuary would be restored.[to normal service] In terms of days, 2300 lambs would be offered be offered in 1150 days.[2300 lambs÷ 2 per day = 1150 days = 3.2 years.]

This is the exact period of time that Antiochus Epiphanies exercised over the Jews and Jerusalem until they revolted and managed to win back their freedom.
