Men to have pill that puts s***m on snooze

FOR years, women have carried the heavier load when it comes to family planning. But now, tables might just be turning. Scientists have unveiled a non-hormonal male birth control pill and It has passed its first human safety trial without messing with testosterone or libido.

The pill, called YCT-529, works by blocking a vitamin a metabolite in the te**es, a key ingredient for s***m production.

In simple terms, it tells s***m to take a nap, without touching a man’s manhood hormones.

The pill was developed in partnership with Dr. Gunda Georg and her team at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy and trials on healthy men is reported to have passed the first stage.

According to various reports none of subjects tested reported serious side effects, their testosterone stayed intact, their libido was untouched, and the body absorbed the pill effectively.

With that green light, longer trials, 28-day and 90-day repeat doses are already underway.

If all goes well, experts say the pill could hit the market before the end of the decade.

Developed by YourChoice Therapeutics and Columbia University, YCT-529 has already shown 99 percent effectiveness.

If approved, it could be a game-changer, a reliable, reversible, non-hormonal option for men.

For once, contraception might not just be “her job.”

This pill could balance the responsibility, giving couples more freedom to decide who takes charge of family planning.
