Every person has something they are expected to carry, such as work, leadership, education, or family responsibilities. These duties may sometimes be difficult, but they are part of who we are and what we must do.
In addition, the proverb encourages perseverance and endurance. It reminds us that we should not easily give up because of pressure or hardship. Instead, we should remain committed and continue working hard, knowing that responsibilities are part of growth and success in life.

Just as an elephant remains calm and focused despite the loud croaking of frogs, a wise person should continue pursuing success without being distracted by unnecessary noise from people. Frogs symbolize those who talk too much or try to discourage others, while the elephant represents strength, confidence, and determination, and the water represents success, peace, and opportunities in life. The adage teaches that people will always talk whether you are succeeding or failing, but true progress comes when you stay focused on your purpose, ignore distractions, and move forward with confidence.

of Chilubi Mainland Boarding Secondary School, Northern Province. Initial report indicates that he collapsed at Kasama.
