On the other hand socially, slave trade opened the interior of African continent to the outside world. E.g Missionaries came to Africa in big numbers during the slave trade era.

Slave trade in Africa also led to development of new cultures and languages. This was due to interactions of people from different regions.

Slave Trade in Africa led to intermarriages. This led to development of new race of people e. g Afro Arabs who were born when Africans in coastal regions intermarried with the Arabs.

Families were separated during slave trade. When raided people fled in different directions, some were captured and taken away from their families.

Slave trade caused a lot of suffering and misery to African societies, only energetic, strong and young people were taken, leaving a few to develop our motherland.
