One of the challenges in our walk with God is that we often ask Him for guidance, only to argue with the answer when it comes.

We pray for direction, but when God speaks, we want to add a “but.”

“But God, what if…”

“But God, this makes more sense…”

“But God, I have a better idea…”

If we truly believe that God is all-knowing, why do we feel the need to improve on His instructions?

Delayed obedience is still disobedience.

Faith is not just hearing what God has said. It is trusting Him enough to act on it, even when it does not align with our preferences, logic, or timing.

God does not need our amendments to His instructions.

When He speaks, our responsibility is not to negotiate. It is to obey.

Bowing to Baal can be in form of small and repeated behaviours that separates you from God. Yes they might seem appear to be normal but they cause you to miss the blessings and grace of God.

Song of Songs 2:15 tells us to Catch the little foxes that spoil the vine, for our vines have tender grapes. Catch every foxes that destroys your vine. These little foxes are used by the prince of darkness so that it can grow to a normal habit.
