🇹🇷 BİZ ATATÜRK GENÇLERİYİZ 🇹🇷🎶
The title “Biz Atatürk Gençleriyiz” literally means “We Are Atatürk’s Youth.” The word “Biz” means “We,” “Atatürk” refers to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Türkiye, and “Gençleriyiz” means “we are the youth.” Together, the title expresses the identity and commitment of a generation inspired by Atatürk’s ideals.
The piece is a powerful celebration of youth, unity, courage, hope, and dedication to the future of the nation. It reflects the idea that young people have an important responsibility to preserve and carry forward the values associated with Atatürk, including freedom, education, progress, determination, and service to society.
With its energetic and uplifting character, the song conveys a strong sense of patriotism, confidence, and collective purpose. It is not simply a song about being young; it is an expression of young people proudly identifying themselves with a vision of a progressive and independent Türkiye.
It was a great honour for the İstem Cırcıroğlu Chamber Orchestra to perform this meaningful work under the direction of Maestro Simon Jaulani II. Through this performance, we celebrated the enduring spirit of Atatürk’s ideals while bringing together the universal language of music and the friendship between Türkiye and Zambia. 🇹🇷🇿🇲🎻
