LEGAL MATTERS IN MINISTRY: CHURCH FORMATION, REGISTRATION AND ASSEMBLY.

BACKGROUND
In Zambia a church is deemed, defined and described as a society.
As such church is regulated by law under the SOCIETIES ACT: CHAPTER 119 - the Laws of Zambia.

FORMATION
The law provides that after you form your church, you must register with the Registrar of Societies within 28 days of its formation or adoption of its constitution. In other words, there is no legal defined grace period during which you can legally hold church services in Zambia without being registered or having a formal application process underway. Except that you are required to register within 28 days of your church's formation.

Continuing to assemble, beyond 28 days from the day of your formation as a church without being registered, puts you in conflict with the law.

OFFENCE
If found (assembling without registration), you can be arrested, charged and taken to court.
Note that operating an unregistered religious group is a serious matter and is considered illegal. The law grants the government the authority to levy fines and impose prison sentences of up to seven years against unregistered religious groups and their members.

Imagine that, you the Pastor or you and your members go to jail for 7 years!!!!

ACT NOW
If you are planning to start or are currently running a church in Zambia, the most crucial step is to formally apply for registration with the Registrar of Societies IMMEDIATELY, to ensure you are operating legally.

Please, take care of this before you are arrested!

BLESSINGS.

8 relationships paul identified in 2 Timothy 4:6-22 that are very essential for everyone of us to identify in our lives.

1.) A relationship with Himself( Learn to Value yourself, respect yourself and manage your emotions)

2.)His relationship with His spiritual son(Timothy) Discover the Timothys in your life, Love and Value those that look up to you.

3.) Relationships that dissapoint (develop a thick skin but have a tender heart in order to successfully deal with such kind of people. A character of Jesus.)

4.) Relationships at a distance (people that you do not see on a daily basis) there are people that you may not see over a long time due to distance, but are still very essential in your life. Strive to call them on phone and show them you care. This keeps the relationship alive. Pray for them always.

5.)Relationships with the faithful (those that stand by you no matter the circumstance. Honour these type of people in your life)

6.)Strained relationships ( bad relationships that get restored. e.g Paul's relationship with Mark & Paul with Barnabas) lesson here is that never cut off a strained relationship that God can untangle and restore.

7.)Toxic Relationships ( 2 Timothy 4:14-15 e.g Alexander the Coppersmith and Paul) There are some relationships that can not be restored and these you must create boundaries and distance yourself in order to safeguard your peace of mind.

8.) The Ultimate Relationship (A relationship with Jesus Christ) This is the relationship you should treasure the most. Spend time in prayer and reading your Bible in order to Know Him more.

Disciples are those who are willing to stay when others leave; when others have ten reasons to leave, a true disciple will find one reason to stay.

“There’s a process in becoming the person that God wants you to become. That’s one of the reasons you’re here at Rhema. You’ll learn lessons in the classroom, but you’ll also learn some life lessons, where God refines you to become the person that He wants you to be.”

Don't look down on people based on the position you find them at the moment.

They may hold the counsel to your next level.

Value the counsel of your counselor, even if he or she looks like one who doesn't have the results to counsel you.
