Itty Bitties Nursery & Day Care Montessori

The Tiny Tots class planted their egg plant seedlings 🌱 they got their hands dirty, and now with patience,the next stage will be for each and every one of them to nurture their plants. -The egg plant is a deciduous shrub,which is grown for its edible fruits which are cooked and eaten as vegetables.

Pyjama day this year was picnic themed 🧺 fun was had food games and lots of laughter 🥰

We had our Easter Bonanza. Thank you to the amazing parents for the support, we appreciate each and everyone of you.

Our little program consisted of
-A short performance by the children who sang a song 🎵
-fun races amongst the children
-fun race where parents teamed up with their children in a 3 legged race
-An Easter egg hunt

We look forward to seeing everyone next term.

For Tiny Tots Show and tell last week our topic was “ a *mystery box* “ . The children could bring anything that they found interesting to school hidden inside a box. This was so much fun as the children couldn’t wait to have their turn to let their friends guess what was inside their box, some children had a favorite toy, their favorite earrings and one child even surprised her friends with lollipops 😊 the aims of this topic/lesson was to :
- build confidence in the children as they learn to speak in front of their friends
- build their vocabulary as they learn new words
- cultivate interest as the children question each other
- language development
- develop listening skills
- last but not least to have fun!

Skills learned from gardening engage all senses. -Maria Montessori quoted “the children must be taught to feel and live in harmony with the earth”. Today our Itty Bitties planted green peppers 🫑☺️we are excited to watch and guide them nurture their seedlings and shoots. 👩‍🌾 🌱
