WE ARE BACK πππ
Happy New Year to all TVTC students and members of staff. We hope you had a wonderful festive season.
Today marked a very amazing and impactful day!!!!
Under the UNESCO O3 Plus Project, we successfully conducted an orientation session for newly enrolled students at the Technical and Vocational Teachersβ College, 2026 Intake. The session focused on key issues affecting young people, including Sexual and Reproductive Health, Gender-Based Violence, and Mental Health.
Students were also introduced to the OWNU mobile application as a trusted digital platform for accessing accurate information and support. In addition, we guided them on where to find the UNESCO team on campus and how to access counselling and support services through the Youth Friendly Corner.
It was truly inspiring to engage with new students, create awareness, and empower them with knowledge and resources to support their wellbeing and academic journey.β

*Happy International Day of the Girl Child!*
Today, we celebrate every girl, her strength, her dreams, and her right to thrive. πͺπ
As UNESCO O3PLUS , we believe that when you empower a girl, you transform a community. Every girl deserves access to education, safety, opportunities, and a voice that is heard and respected.
Letβs keep building a world where girls are not silenced, sidelined, or limited but seen, supported, and celebrated for the power they carry within.β

To every girl: *You are enough. You are light. You are the future* ππ½ πͺπ½ βπ½
As part of our commemoration of the World Mental Health Day, today we also participated at the ball-games friendly tournament hosted at Technical and Vocational Teachers' College. TVTC hosted Mukuba College of Education and Copperbelt Institute of Health Sciences and participated in the following sports disciplines; football, netball and volleyball.
This event reminds us on the importance of availability of health services to young people on campus. It also reminds us the importance of staying mentally woke, physically fit and emotionally fit.
Thanks to every student who visited our tent and accessed health services. Your health, our priority.
Rights Our Lives Our Future
10/10/2025
As we commemorate *World Mental Health Day* , we use this as a global awareness day dedicated to promoting mental well-being and advocating for accessible mental health services.
The importance of this day lies in raising awareness, combating the stigma surrounding mental health issues, and mobilizing worldwide efforts to make mental health a global priority. This day serves as a platform for sharing stories, providing resources, and uniting communities in action to ensure mental health is recognized as being as vital as physical health for all.
Remember that your mental health is your wealth. Guard it jealously.
Rights, Our Lives, Our Future.
