✍️𝗟𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗧 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 — 𝗠𝗕𝗖𝗵𝗕

An update has been provided regarding the much-anticipated Livingstone List.

Today, DVP- Livingstone Campus and the Academic Affairs Minister responsible for all NS students engaged the Dean, SNAS, to push for the Livingstone List to be released as soon as possible.

According to the update, the list is currently in its final stages. However, students who recently resat some courses are still being considered, as letters are still being received.

The engagement also raised concerns regarding the consideration of clear passes as part of the qualification criteria.

For MBChB students, the key assurance is that if you have cleared the requirements for Livingstone, you will be going to Livingstone Campus.

Where points are considered and a student does not qualify for their preferred programme, they may be placed in another programme, but will still remain under Livingstone Campus.

We will continue to share any further updates as they become available.

💫✨️CONSIDER THESE YOUR 10 HOLIDAY Nuggets and An Extra Bonus at the end😊.

1. REST — and don’t feel guilty about it.😂
You’ve spent months attending lectures, writing assignments, preparing for tests, and surviving deadlines. Give your mind a chance to breathe.

“Rest is not quitting. Sometimes, rest is part of the preparation.”

Sleep. Eat properly. Watch that movie. Do absolutely nothing for a day if you need to. 😂

2. GO HOME AND SPEND TIME WITH YOUR PEOPLE. ❤️
University can make you realise how much you miss the people you barely had time for during the semester.

Have that conversation with your parents. Visit your grandparents. Take your siblings out. Sit with your friends without having to discuss an assignment.

Some memories don't need a timetable.🌟

3. LEARN SOMETHING THAT SCHOOL ISN'T TEACHING YOU.☀️
Your degree is important, but don't let it become the only thing you're good at.

For example:

Learn basic graphic design.
Learn how to edit videos.
Learn public speaking.
Learn how to cook.
Start learning a new language.
Learn basic financial management.
Learn how to use Excel properly.

You don't need to become an expert. Just become better than you were before the holiday.❤️

4. READ SOMETHING OUTSIDE YOUR COASES. 📚
Not everything you read has to be anatomy, pharmacology, OBGY, or Peadiatrics. 😂

Read a biography. Read about leadership. Read about money. Read history. Read something that challenges how you think.

“A degree can educate you, but curiosity can take you much further.”

Even 10–20 pages a day adds up.

5. WORK ON YOURSELF PHYSICALLY. 🏃🏽‍♂️💪
Get back into exercising. Walk. Run. Play football. Go to the gym. Whatever works for you.

You don't have to suddenly become a fitness influencer. 😂

Just develop the habit of taking care of the body that has to carry you through the next few years.

6. UPDATE YOUR CV AND BUILD YOUR PORTFOLIO.💯⌛️
This is one people usually ignore until they suddenly need it.

Add:

Volunteering
Leadership positions
Certificates
Conferences attended
Projects you've worked on
Skills you've acquired
Community activities

And if you don't have much to add yet, this holiday is a good time to start.

7. VOLUNTEER OR GIVE BACK SOMEWHERE. ❤️
Find something meaningful to do in your community.

It could be:

A community outreach
Health awareness programme
Charity activity
Tutoring younger students
Church/community project
Environmental activity

Sometimes, you discover your purpose when you stop thinking only about yourself.

“The value of what you know is often measured by how many people you help with it.”

8. BUILD RELATIONSHIPS, NOT JUST CONTACTS. 🫂🩷
Check on people. Talk to seniors. Speak to professionals. Reconnect with classmates. Meet people outside your usual circle.

Don't approach everyone thinking, “What can this person do for me?”

Sometimes, just being a good person and staying connected is enough.

You never know where a simple “Hello, how are you?” can lead years later.

9. REFLECT ON THE SEMESTER AND MAKE a PLAN. ✍️
Before school starts again, ask yourself:

What went well?
What didn't?
What did I waste too much time on?
What do I need to improve?
What do I want to achieve next semester?

Don't just return to school and repeat the same semester with a different date.

“If you don't reflect on your journey, you may keep repeating the same mistakes.”

10. HAVE FUN. SERIOUSLY. 😂🤸❤️
Not every holiday has to be about productivity.

Go out. Travel. Visit somewhere you've never been. See your friends. Play games. Watch movies. Take pictures. Make memories.🙂

Because one day you'll look back and realise that university wasn't only about the grades..it was also about the people you met, the places you went, and the person you became.

And one last thing...

Don't compare your holiday to someone else's.

Someone will be doing an internship.
Someone will be travelling.
Someone will be making money.
Someone will be learning three new skills.
And someone will probably spend two weeks sleeping and watching Netflix. 😂

Your journey is your own.

Use the holiday to rest, reconnect, learn, grow, and enjoy yourself. Then come back a little better than when you left.🌟💞
