Skipping verification won't disadvantage health workers' recruitment - Civil Service Commission
THE Civil Service Commission says Health workers who applied for ongoing recruitment can skip the verification of their details as long as they are confident in the accuracy of the information they submitted.
Commission Chairperson Choolwe Beyani said applicants have the option to forego the verification exercise and will not be disadvantaged in the recruitment process simply because they chose not to verify their details.
“The decision to or not to verify will not, in itself, disadvantage an applicant in the recruitment process,” Dr Beyani said.
He explained that the verification exercise is mainly a quality-assurance measure to ensure that information in the recruitment database accurately reflects applications received by provincial and district health offices
Meanwhile, the Commission has also extended the verification deadline from September 11 to October 9, following concerns raised by applicants over the limited time and difficulties of travelling to verification centres.
Dr Beyani said applicants who have received a text message from Zampost confirming that their applications have been dispatched to their preferred districts can also choose not to undergo verification if they are satisfied with the information they submitted.
He said those wishing to verify their details should use the extended period and follow the official guidance issued by the Commission.
Medical doctors and pharmacists will verify their details at provincial health offices, while all other categories will do so at district health offices.
Furthermore, Dr Beyani added that the validation of documents for health worker volunteers recruited under President Hakainde Hichilema’s directive is currently underway countrywide.
He said the public would be updated once the process is completed.
